It has been over hundred days, but about these articles (noticed them in the comments on Manong's articles - that's a must read as well!):

How the freak did he do that? How do you steal 6k GOLD? You cannot donate 6k GOLD to yourself (or is that possible from a national org?)... and only stealing the organizations is too easily fixed by having the admins assigns new passwords... right?

As CP, he essentially "owned" all orgs belonging to the eUK at the time. Game admins refuse to take any action against a CP who steals the treasury (which, btw, is one of the reasons people get so nervous about PTO). As for limits to how much gold one can receive in an individual account, that is fairly easily circumvented by using it to buy cc, which is unlimited in how much you can transfer/receive. It is also possible (even likely), that he might have transferred it to other orgs controlled by his friends outside the eUK. It is highly probable, for instance, that he funded a lot of the COs eFrance put up against eUK in the war that closely followed the theft.

You can donate little tidbits to several people/orgs who can donate it back to you as Maryam said.
