We once had the same problem in Wallonia and we were all speaking different languages. You should do like we do, all learn French to fix the problems :p

we already do, we just don't like speaking it. Us Flemish, after having learned both French and Dutch have concluded that Dutch is by far the superior language.

So coming from the part of the population that actually speaks both languages, I think we can conclude that you should learn dutch and that then all problems would be solved.

Coming from someone that has actually lived in all 3 regions for several years.

Times are changing.
- French Community : We need Dutch --> Immersion schooling / send kids to flemish schools
- Dutch Community : eeewwww French --> media & schooling = pro Flemish cause

kk so that explains it. During your stay in Walonia, you've contracted the "swinus maximus"-disease. It's a disease wide spread in those regions. The disease infests the neocortex (part of the brain), responsible for understanding languages. It makes you think that languages, who are considered pig-disgusted by ppl who aren't affected by Swinus Maximus, are actually nice sounding languages when they aren't.

I agree, all Belgians should be bilingual but it will take time to get everyone to learn both languages. Especially when Walloons have massive stereotypes about Flemish, they think it always sounds like Vloems von Brehhe (Brugge), which is awful imo. French in deep Wallonia is too.

Walloons just have to wait till the ice melts and problem solved

P.S.: According to that map you'll need to buy a house in Drogenbos, Sint-Genesius-Rode, Beersel or Linkebeek if you want to live in Flanders. The European president clearly believes in this sea level rising theory.
