Embassy of eNew Zealand

Post by Oboacer on 2011-01-16, 19:59

Hello citizens of eBelgium!

My name is Oboacer and I have had the privileged of being appointed the first eNZ Ambassador to eBelgium. We in eNZ are a young nation but are looking to expand our diplomatic presence around the New World. Belgium is a nation with a proud history in the New World and I hope that by opening this embassy our two nations will develop a very fruitful relationship.

If you have any questions about eNZ, our politics, economy or foreign relations please don't hesitate to post here and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I will also be posting around the forums, taking part in debates and trying to always ensure eNZ is well represented. However, I will be sure to respect eBelgiums sovereignty and will not interfere in any of its decisions.

So here is to a budding a new friendship!

Sincerely,
Oboacer

ah, welshlad, he has been under Apotygma I a belgian MoFA too ... for a few days, then he had to resign due to a scandal with the UK Razz

I've heard that in the initial days, eNZ had some problems with a serbian PTO or something like that, how is that running now?

Hello President Sammy,

It is sad but true. Our nation during its early birth had a huge influx of Serbian/Slovenians and English speakers. At first both groups were equal and we managed to unite behind a common CP and prevent a PTO.

However, in the December elections, the Serbian/Slovenian party (Aotearoa) won a majority in Congress and the CP and has basically run the country since.

We are now divided about 60%-55% (Serbian) and 45%-40% (English Speakers). Most of our elections are fought along these lines with "Aotearoa" vs the "opposition" (host of parties). Still, current President Kurocja has run a "unity" government and speaking as one of the non-Aotearoa Minister, I can say it seems to be working right now.

I came to eBelgium because the country interested me and I wanted to make sure it avoided the PTO issues we have fought with. If you or anyone in eBelgium need anything don't hesitate to ask.

That is great to hear. Seeing that it is our summer, your uncle must be enjoying himself. It is a great city too, I would encourage anyone to come visit.

As for LeValeureux, thanks so much for the kind words. I just want t get as involved in eBelgium as I can while helping to build up a relationship between our countries. I just want to provide my opinion and get involved in this country. It shows that we in eNZ want to considered allies with eBelgium. Very Happy

Well alot has happened in eNZ and I'm happy that the President of eBelgium is interested in what is happening. I have provided an article written by our President Kurojca to help explain the situation, I hope this clears things up.

http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-first-presidental-briefing-and-news-1642609/1/20

At present this idea wasn't very well presented to the general eNZ citizenry and it has caused some debate but overall it appears the Cabinet is backing it. However, rumors have arisen that the Aussis may not hand back over so we have to see if our government made the right move.

Will keep everyone informed!

Quick update from eNZ,

Today eAustralia officially took over the region of Otago, they are now fighting a war in Canterbury. At present we are allowing this war to go their way but will be launching a resistance war in the coming days.

That should led to us retaking both regions and then moving to take Tasmania, which is part of the original deal.

Hope this helps Smile

So here is an update on our current wars,

I'm proud to anouce eNZ has won its first major series of wars in our nations very brief history. We managed to defend Wellington, take back Canterbury and launched a succesful takeover of Tasmania. Cool

At present Otago has remained in the hands of the Aussis' but that doesn't affect our economy as much as both Wellington and Otago were "iron" regions and we have kept on. However, Tasmanian gains us a animal producing region.

Migration is our present priority, as many eNZ citizens in Otago are now coming to the other regions and we are trying to integreate the Tasmanian people to our nation.

So it is a busy time and I look forward to keeping my friends in eBelgium informed.

Cheers!

Well we finally took back Canterbury in a RW and this means that only Otago is now held by Australia. That was part of the deal and we shall have to see how things play out over the coming days.

Integration of the Australian citizens is underway but we are expecting a migration wave out of Tasmanian to either the mainland or Otago. However, hopefully some will remain in eNZ.

Time for an eNZ update!

To start, the push was made a rouge Congressman but the entire Congress then proceeded to support the idea, going against the governments wishes. This led us in eNZ to declare them a "natural enemy" and we took action.

We also benefited from eAustralia declaring eChile a "natural enemy" and they proceed to join the war with our forces. Therefore eChile suddenly found themselves under attack from two nations.

Now for the update,
The forces of eNZ emerged victorious Very Happy
We have successfully taken the "Zone Central" from eChile and are now considering possibly expanding in the country. That will likely be decided by the new CP (as elections are mere days away).

This war was a major test for our forces and it proved that we were in strong shape during the campaign. It is proof that eNZ cannot be overlooked based upon our size.

Hope this update helps and sorry for being awol, as I was busy with some domestic political changes that are taking place.

I understand that could be the case Glenn and it is something that some of our eNZ politicians have noticed.

However, we did note that they voted through that war proposal and we were simply defending our territories. Our MoFA has been in talks with theirs to work out a future peace treaty.

I do appreciate that warning, and I will be sure to raise it with the next elected leader of our country.

Hello eBelgians,

After an extended period away I have returned as the eNZ ambassador to your nation. I want to apologize for suddenly leaving but some RL issues and domestic eNZ issue arose.

Our nation has undergone some major changes lately. We are unified, having regained "Wellington" from our friends eIndonesia. At the same time we have taken part in "training wars" with eChile and eAustralia, the latter of whom was recently conquered by eIndo.

A big change in our nation has been the collapse of our former majority party (Aotearoa) and its replacement by numerous minor parties. The party I currently lead (PnPP) is the largest in eNZ but is still trying to build up a broad coalition. The "Serbian" majority still exists and runs our nation.

Will include the new Cabinet as soon as the final members are appointed.

It is great to be back and looking forward to hearing what has taken place.

Sincerely,
Oboacer

Thanks Mudduck95. It does add some more work to my plate but I love being involved in politics so this only suited my personality.

It is also good for eNZ, as players like me (who are less then six months old) get a chance to be in government, build up contacts and help our eNations.

Well big news from eNZ, our little nation has officially gone to war with the "South American" power that is Argentina.

We did not want this war and it was brought upon us by Argentina's aggressive push for more regions and resources. This was an unprovoked attack and our nation is truly alarmed by it.

I have included an article outlining what our government plans to do and others that can give you more info.

If anyone in eBelgium is looking for some fighting at the other end of the world, please contact me and we can try to get you down to eNZ.

Hello Belgium,

So I have an update on the recent battles that have taken place in the Oceania region of the world.

It pains me to say but my dear eNZ has been reduced from four (4) regions to simply one (1), Otago. Our nation sustained a major attack from Argentina and Chile. The battles were fierce and led to huge amounts of damage, with Argentina suffering surprising casualties but still taking our regions.

Our government and people have retreated to Otago and are preparing to regroup. We accept that North Island may be lost for the time being but we are hoping to retake Canterbury and unify the South Island.

I have included a link to an article recently printed by our President discussing the current situation;
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/terra-aggression-on-new-zealand-1773249/1/20

I will continue to keep you abreast of all that takes place in our nation. I would also like to thank all the Belgians who offered words of encouragement and aid during this time.

Sincerely,
Oboacer

Huge News!

I'm extremely proud to announce that after a valiant and very drawn out battle, we in NZ managed to defeat the Chilean and Argentine invasion of our final region, Otago

Our nation has entered into peace talks with both, mediated by Indonesia, and I' am proud to say that they are going well.

I want to thank eBeligum for the words of support that you offered during these times and I have relayed them back to the eNZ government.

Again, much thanks.

Sincerely,
Oboacer

congrats to defending your self. I am often uneasy of are empirical allies Argentina and Chile when they are going after non ONE countries when we should be working together to defeat ONE in Europe but they didn't get invaded so they probably don't care.

My apologizes Olv007 and to all the eBelgians who fought for eNZ. Our nation had so many people come to our aid that it is truly impossible to express the thanks that our government and citizens have.

So I would like to formally thank all those citizens from eBelgium who put some time and health into defending our small nation. I realize that we are not allies but it means a great deal to our nation and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Also, as an update, our military has taken the initiative and regained all of our original regions (Wellington, Auckland, Canterbury and Otago) and has also begun operations in Argentina and Chile. We took part in two major resistance wars (Bolivia and Peru) and have since helped both nations re-emerge in the New World.

Peace talks are still on-going but have been stalled by the Congresses of both Chile and Argentina. This has led to continued fighting and I hope a change soon.

I hope that other Terra/EDEN nations will soon realize that by these actions, there is growing chorus now in eNZ, of citizens, many of whom never supported this before, at our nation officially joining ONE. It has yet to pass or a formal debate to begin but the actions of these nations have seriously pushed our leaders into a corner.

Beyond that, thank you again and cheers!
