One question Chris: why do you want to be CP of eBelgium?

A serious candidacy where the conclusion is :
free napotrain for everybody if you elect me ^^
More seriously, i will post later some remarks about your manifesto... :-)

Finally, I would also like to see us start funding additional strength training, although I do not yet have a funding plan for such a program.

There is no way we would ever be able to sustain the use of Napoleon for very long. There might be a way for us to fund the Boot Camp for BAF members to build the strength of our army. I have been talking to military leaders in other nations and militias getting funding ideas and finding out how the countries that do fund strength training afford it. I am fairly confident that we can come up with a plan to do this ourselves.

I won't lie to you, I have been working towards the presidency since I began playing in May 2009. It is one of my personal ambitions in playing eRep and one I can finally achieve. However, I also feel that at this time, I am the best choice amongst the candidates to lead Belgium in the upcoming month. We have some tough decisions to make and some ongoing debates that will never go anywhere unless someone steps up and guides them to a successful conclusion. I have the best interest of all Belgians at heart, from our soldiers to our politicians to our newbies to our 2-clickers. I want to maximize everyone's experience in eRep as mine has been. I am not doing this for the glory, I am doing this for all of us. Plus, today I read Manong's manifesto and some of his ideas frankly scared the hell out of me, so now I'm also partly running to keep him out of the presidency.

I admit I have been absent from IRC lately, although not at my own doing. Rizon has banned me as they claim I have an open proxy and must close port 8080 on my router. Despite spending several hours speaking with their support staff, I still have not figured out how to accomplish that. Until I do manage to close the port, IRC is out of my grasp.
If anyone knows how to close port 8080, I am most interested.

Re: [Public politics]A Serious Candidacy for CP
I did some research. It seems you have some things running on your router that causes this. RouterOS I guess has a proxyserver included.Chris Stanwick wrote:Pieter557 wrote:What about your activity on IRC? Rarely see you there...

So login at your router, disable the proxy and you should be fine!

I use a Belkin F5D7234-4 router. I've never had any problems with an open proxy before last week and am not hosting a webaddress and although I know how to login to my router, I don't know how to isolate and disable the proxy.

try this. At step 5 look if you see 8080 in the portlist. If it is, remove it ( clear all fields and click apply )
