I think that'll be best Boklevski we'll watch them play... go inside because of the rain, play, go inside... and so on. With some beer, this horrible cattle-land should be forgotten soon enough.

Report semi finals doubles Queens:

Team 1 vs Team 3

Sammy Tanghe/Fhaemita Malodorous vs. Jonathan Clay/Johny English A
A close game... Great serves on both sides make it a very interesting match. But Sammy makes some fatal errors in the first set, which gives the win to team 3. In the second set, it is a quite similar game, but now Johny makes the unforced errors. Team 1 doesn't hesitate to score points. After the second set, team 3 turns up a gear, so team 1 is brought in a very defensive position. Some errors decide the game in favor of team 3.

Result Team 1 vs. Team 3: 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 3-6

Team 4 vs Team 6

Bert_en_Ernie/Helviro vs. Ahakas/RahZz
Altough team 6 is doing a good job, team 4 is just more organized and this is shown clearly in the few rally's. In the crucial moments, team 4 handles the pressure better and so they win every set, but always with a close lead.

Result Team 4 vs. Team 6: 6-4, 7-5, 7-5

Report semi finals singles Queens:

Jonathan Clay vs. RaphZz

Both good players on grass. The serve and volley technique works the best in this game and then it's RaphZz with the upperhand. Jonathan Clay uses more different styles, but this is not working. It lasts two sets before JC can attack RaphZz. This however only works one set before RaphZz can turn things around again.

Result Jonathan Clay vs. RaphZz: 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 4-6

Cotarius vs. Bert_en_Ernie

No real opposition from Cotarius here, only in the third set he is able to break things open a bit, but Bert_en_Ernie uses his hard strikes to show Cotarius all corners of the field. Bad luck for Cotarius today.

Result Cotarius vs. Bert_en_Ernie: 2-6, 3-6, 5-7

Report final doubles Queens:

Johny English A/Jonathan Clay vs. Bert_en_Ernie/Helviro

The final of the doubles in Quee... Oh, it's already over. No problems for team 4 who take the win easily. This was more a steam train who rolled over team 3. Though there were some nice points of team 3, team 4 used the advantages of their tactics to the limit, which results in lots of winners.

Result Johny English A/Jonathan Clay vs. Bert_en_Ernie/Helviro: 3-6, 2-6, 3-6

Report final singles Queens:

RaphZz vs. Bert_en_Ernie

Wow, exciting game here. RaphZz gives his all in this match, while Bert_en_Ernie is (are) struggling with the technique. This gives the first set to RaphZz. In the second set, it's much closer, but RaphZz still takes the advantage on the critical points. In the third set the win goes to Bert_en_Ernie, as RaphZz seems to lower the pressure. But the fourth set decides the outcome as RahZz uses almost every trick he got, while Bert_en_Ernie isn't able to respond.

Result RaphZz vs. Bert_en_Ernie: 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 6-4

Congrats!

team 1,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 are still ahead of us Bok, we can only do better in the future !

Now let's hope to score some points in this more important tournament or hope the whisky is just as good at Wimbledon as it was in Queens.

Report semi finals doubles Wimbledon:

Team 4 vs. Team 3

Bert_en_Ernie/Helviro vs. Jonathan Clay/Johny English A
Will team 3 be able to take revenge for Queens? It seems like it. The first set is fairly one-sided, mostly due to the fierce attacks of Jonathan Clay. Team 3 seems on a roll here. But in the second set, team 4 is able to change their tactics and so they take the second and third set with a clear lead. Their teamwork seems to pay off once again. The fourth set is a closer, resulting in a tiebreak. But in this tiebreak, the power of team 4 is unfair for the others.

Result team 4 vs. team 3: 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3)

Team 1 vs. Team 6

Sammy Tanghe/Fhaemita Malodorous vs. Ahakas/RaphZz
God, this is a hard match. 3 tiebreaks and one very close set won by team 1. The fifth set brings the result. A good start here from team 6. They are able to develop a three sets lead. But after a while team 1 strikes back heavily and so team 1 comes in the lead and they are serving for the match. No problems there for team 1. Amazing play from both teams.

Result team 1 vs. team 6: 7-6 (7-5-, 6-7 (4-7), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 7-5

Report semi finals singles Wimbledon:

Helviro vs. Fhaemita Malodorous

Both players are fairly similar in technique. This results in a very close first set, won by Fhaemita. Later on in the match, Helviro increases the pace and makes no more mistakes in the numerous rally's in this match. This gives the advantage to Helviro and he doesn't give it up anymore...

Result Helviro vs. Fhaemita Malodorous: 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3

Nohjis vs. Bert_en_Ernie

While Nohjis clearly is the better in the rally's, he can't keep up with his opponent's tactics. Being both strong on the net, Bert_en_Ernie is able to get better in the match with his advantage in the volleys. Only one close set, but for the rest it's mostly a Bert_en_Ernie match

Result Nohjis vs. Bert_en_Ernie: 4-6, 7-5, 2-6, 3-6

In case of a fifth set, there is no tie-break. (remember Isner-Mahut: 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 70-68)

Report final doubles Wimbledon:

Helviro/Bert_en_Ernie vs. Sammy Tanghe/Fhaemita Malodorous

Yes, you guessed it, another walkover for team 4. There was no real opposition this time, Sammy and Fhaemita were send all over the court. A match for the history books for team 4. Bad luck for team 1. A well played tournament, but there was another team just outstanding.

Result Helviro/Bert_en_Ernie vs. Sammy Tanghe/Fhaemita Malodorous: 6-2, 6-3, 6-2

Congrats!

Report final singles Wimbledon:

Helviro vs. Bert_en_Ernie

Great start from Bert_en_Ernie. Helviro's stamina is surely depleted by such a furious start. Even in the second set, Helviro is still not recuperated. In the third set his outstanding technique saves him from the loss of the title. Helviro now got the advantage in morale and starts a fabulous return, just in time to win the remaining sets.

Result Helviro vs. Bert_en_Ernie: 3-6, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-2

Congrats, chap!

is it just me or is it kinda suspicious that team 4 wins both the doubles as that it delivers the 2 finalists? Neutral

I'd like to investigate the wimbledon officials their banking accounts ...

This is the last time I let Bert pretend he's me... They promised me a win, I will have to revise my offer. Suspect

We'ld need a specialist accountant for the investigation, too bad we're all sportsfolks...
