Locations

I wonder why all players who have a high level and who are very active in politics and stuff, why they don't have their locations set somewhere in eBelgium? Whats the point of always saying your eBelgian when you don't even stay there? Is there an economic advantage in having your location set somewhere else?

Location doesn't have much effects to normal things you can do in game.

Advantages:
- Buy things abroad (cheaper if buying in large quantities (cover movement costs)).
- Fight for countries that don't have an MPP with eBelgium for (paras) missions or mercenary medals

Disadvantages:
- Can not put up candidacy for congress
- None

I move around several times a week and often back to a Belgian region.

OK, thanks Nohjis! Does it affect your wage too? It seems like some countries have higher wages than others...

You can indeed take a job in a foreign country and receive a higher wage even if I don't like to admit that (I prefer people to work for me and pay taxes in Belgium ). Just pay attention to the income taxrate in the country you apply for a job in as that gets deducted from the wage.

Example Belgium:
Top Wage: 200 CC
Income tax : 1%
Net: 198 CC

Example USA:
Top Wage 307 CC
Income tax 15%
Net: 260.95 CC

You have to move once to apply for the job after you're free to go where you wish.

*Wage differences are due to production bonus differences mostly as that's what affects profit margins.

And the reason why most citizens are in eBelgium is 99% for battles I think.
