Re: The Great War
Okay, I have all the attack plans
As the tension was very high already, the allies made certain points as "strongholds". These were places where a possible invasion would be slowed down or stopped.
It's up to the following persons to mark strongholds on the map:
Fhaemita Malodorous
BrunoCND
Critically
Hint: "Lots of people can give lots of resistance."

Re: The Great War
The hint most likely means put your troops in big cities if you want a big resistance, and vice verca.

Re: The Great War
Strongholds in Brugge/Gent/Kortrijk seems very important at this point or maybe immediatly put them in the north sea and fill them with water once your soldiers are in them.
Re: The Great War
Germany invaded Belgium and France!
So this is how the invasion went with all plans combined (in general):
Black is Sammy's movement.
Brown is Nohjis' movement
Red line is the current front line.
More info with statistics, decisions etc soon to follow

Re: The Great War
So what happened?
The Belgian strongholds were Liège and Sankt-Vith.
Major BrunoCND defended Verdun with all of his forces.
Fhaemita didn't gave a sh*t and will be executed if there is no response next time.
At the German side, AndreasC's plans were rejected by the German command, as he attacked Holland and through Holland. This nation isn't being attacked... At the moment.
Sankt-Vith was overruled by the surprise. This was a hard city to defend too. The defenders went to support Liège. Here a massive force gathered, as Namur was unprotected. 30.000 Belgians were able to defend Liège. But as the German troops were able to cut Liège off of the outside world, the Belgian commanders surrendered. Smaller forts were being destroyed by German artillery. In the south of Belgium, a critical error was made by not defending Namur. The German forces were able to cross "la meuse" easily.
At Verdun, Nohjis' troops were halted by a huge force of French troops. A lot of blood was shed and the attack was halted. Amiens and Reims weren't reached yet.
By the great attack on Liège, Sammy Tanghe was promoted to Oberstleutnant.
AndreasC was being criticized for his plans.
Nohjis was blamed for not pushing enough to the west.
Critically was being heavily criticized for his poor choice of strongholds.
BrunoCND was praised for his defense of Verdun, but criticized for letting German troops easily into France.
Reality
Liège was easily conquered by German troops, but they had some troubles with the surrounding forts, who were later on shot to hell.
Namur was able to hold for quite a while against a big German force.
As German troops attacked Charleroi, reinforcements were low and so Namur had no choice then to surrender
PS: Djony has been executed and retired from the game

Re: The Great War
Woah, for a second I thought I had just missed the entire game.
Edit:
Also, what exactly happens on the Eastern front given I'm the only Axis player? Do I just get all the armies in one unified command?

Re: The Great War
we will have our glorious revolution first and wait until there is no longer a tsar dictating our moves, before we attack and kill some germansSammy Tanghe wrote:the russians are still mobilising, but when will they attack? :p
Let's rewrite history, Brest-Litovsk my ass (but we still respect that Leon Trotski has done the impossible there! )
Re: The Great War
I hereby resign from The Great War, I have no idea how I could possibly do it from my iPod.
Good luck.

Re: The Great War
Sadly, due to CP tasks, together with RL situations, I can't proceed with this, Hot food and the cycling championship.
The non-used money will be donated back.
Don't worry, lottery will continue.
Small note: next month, don't expect me to be MoFUN, I will concentrate on my newspaper, where you can expect lots of articles.
