First BNA report

Post by tecuvo on 2012-06-16, 11:30

Hi everybody

I’m proud to announce you the first BNA report.
This report should have been made a bit earlier, but it wasn’t Smile

After the resignation of Critically and Fhaemita Malodorous, tecuvo and Cotarius started without knowing what the result would be. Today I can say I’m proud of what BNA has become, but this is not a sign to stop evolving. Besides the new changes in-game that will probably have some consequences for the practical structure of BNA, there are also other points that can use some change/progression.

Let me give you a view inside BNA:

Our soldiers

We started with 20 soldiers; nowadays we have 34 soldiers that work, train and fight everyday. This was possible because MaryamQ decided to become SO. They all use our shiny avatar, designed by groumphissime, that won the avatar competition. I want to thank boer jan and groumphissime for their efforts to make all our avatars in no time! I hope that we will also have our own signature soon. boer jan designed it (thx again), and now we’re waiting until darkmantle puts it online. Unfortunately, it might take another 2 weeks, according to his last reply on my PM.

As you can see we only have 1 recruit right now and in a few days Facebookator will be a soldier too. MaartenW, MaryamQ and tecuvo became veteran this month and xSile and GoopyPants will join them soon Smile

We have fun in our MU, and soldiers get in-game messages to keep them updated and well informed about DOF, the training war with Hungary, forum updates and some regular nonsense. Smile

Every week the stats are posted on the forum so soldiers can see how many hits and damages they did and can compare with all other soldiers. We even launched a competition: the 10 soldiers that do most hits can win 50, 25 and 10 guns by a random lottery.

We still have spots available, so people are still welcome at BNA.

Our stats: hits, damages and other stuff

Last two weeks, we did around 12-13 million damage a day.
The average amount of hits is 128 hits/member/day, while recruits are supposed to do 84 hits, soldiers 102 and veterans 120, so this is really good!!

We also have 2 IRC strikes a week, called DOF. The name is quite inappropiate, because DOF is the abbreviation of Daily Ordered Fighting, so if somebody knows a better name, let me know Smile

These are our DOF’s so far

All battles were RW’s.
We fought tree times for Moldova as you can see, and we will fight for them in the future too.
We didn’t fight for our friends in Venezuela, but we certainly will in the future.
As you can see, not all soldiers are doing DOF’s on regular base, some never join us at #BNA at all. This is something that can be improved and has to be improved in the near future. I would like to thank BrunoCND (our MoD) for the good cooperation during those DOF and together we take care of the “public relations”.

Here are some screenshots from our last DOF

Financially

The funding was adapted recently. In May there was 55k bef unspent, and this was returned to the treasury. Nohjis had access to the spreadsheet while he was MoF; GoopyPants has access now. We got some gold from Moldova for our DOF damages; this was equally distributed among all participating soldiers.

Our future

After contacting eBelgium’s strongest fighters, we stopped active recruitment for now. We have six open spots right now, because I want to avoid a wait when people from BTA are ready to join us once they became too strong for BTA.

With the current momentum in the war between TEDEN and ONE, I hope the SO won’t have to change CS in order to keep the full bonuses.

As said before, increasing DOF activity will be the main goal for next month.

Another topic to think about is Pulse/eGov. Right now Belgov is more efficient then eGov, and therefore, I’m thinking to scrap the Pulse requirement. Besides the huge time I need to get stats from eGov, it also plays a role that a few good soldiers don’t use Pulse for different reasons (they don’t trust it, don’t use Chrome/Mozilla). The main advantage of Belgov is that it’s efficient and that soldiers don’t have to install it or have to fight from their PC, because Belgov also records stats done by iPhone. The main disadvantage is that nobody else can see Belgov stats.

Until now I did everything myself, but I hope that will change in the future. I won’t say a name yet, because I don’t want to put the person I have in mind under pressure.

We are also thinking about the new divisions. It would be nice if we had separate regiments for every division. This would allow us to set different orders for every division, which might be very useful from time to time.

At last, I would like to thank Cotarius. Without him it wouldn’t be possible to do what I’m doing right now.
