extra hits as mercenary?
I dont know what's the politics about this but is there people that use #Mercenaries on irc.
How does it work and is it reliable?
Is there other ways to get profits from extra hits?

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
The channels mentioned in topic are official and reliable supply channels.
You enter the room where supplies are being given out.
Standard procedure for most countries is:
Give Donation link and number of fights you can do.
Depending on your strength/hit value you will be eligible for supplies or not

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
Be aware that eBelgium's independent status may be viewed disfavorably by the supplier.... they usually want pro-one or pro-eden fighters, and may not supply you since eBelgium doesn't have a stance.
Also, you should usually move to an MPP or to that country before requesting, especially for RWs. The battle they want you to fight in will usually be in the topic of the channel, make sure you can fight on the correct side before requesting supplies.
Always make sure they want you to fight or hold, since if the wall is >60% they may want you to wait, or if they are waiting for the next round.
A lot of the channels don't speak english well, so be as clear and direct in your questions as possible.
Also, until you get recognized by helping out repeatedly, they are probably going to want a screenshot of your damage done to verify you didn't take the tanks and run. Best bet is to always volunteer for a screenshot and have them say no.
Try to always get the tanks first, since sometimes topics don't get changed or the supply guy goes AFK.. you fight, and no one gives you tanks, bad deal.
If there is any confusion or miscommunication, just give back the tanks (or provide replacement tanks)... easier to just eat the price of a screw up than argue and get blacklisted from #mercenaries. Supply guys on the channel are usually freaking out and overworked, so be patient and understanding.
Food is usually never supplied, and moving costs usually aren't either. If it is a RW, you can ask for moving cost, but don't expect it.
Some channels want you to PM (query) the supplier or fill out a form, others want you to ask on the channel. Just be aware that some channels do things differently.
If you fill out a form or post your link, and havent gotten tanks within about 5 minutes, its not unreasonable to say "Are supplies on?" on the channel. People get overlooked, or skipped, especially near the ends of rounds.
the #mercenaries channel has a FAQ and how-to... no real reason for non-suppliers to talk on the mercenaries channel, and it is usually heavily moderated.
oh, and most of the supply guys have -no- sense of humor about fighting for the 'wrong' side either in that battle or a following one. So pick one side in a conflict and just fight for that side for the duration of the battle (e.g., eChile and eArgentina are at war, so I just fight for eChile), if not the war. You can get away with supporting both sides over time (like I fight for eIreland or eUK depending on who owns the original territory) especially on very busy channels, but small countries have long memories.
edit: for example, the german/france supply channel just told me to piss off "no belgian frontin". which means i'll probably never fight for france or germany again, never ask for their supplies, never support an MPP or TW with either of them, and hope that they both are destroyed in a fireball of atomic monster space robot doom. It isn't only countries that have a long memory

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
Thanks for your explainations.
I'll give it a try, probably in the evening.
I saw on the channel topic that some suppliers provide to 3K+ or 4K+.
What is it, strenght or damages?

Erf, it's sounds difficult to be a mercenary xD
Is it really worth the trouble of being mercenary? (Simple question, I don't want to make this ^^)

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
Yes, if you want to maximize your rank per day at a significantly lower cost.
Getting 20-30 "free" q6 tanks allows you to fight that much more often, and the only cost is food (which is minimal) and moving tickets.
Combined with BTA/BNA supplies and citizen packs, you should be able to fight quite a bit each day.
Can be frustrating, especially when no one is providing supplies (or they are rude because you are eBelgian) but overall definitely worth it. And you make friends with folks outside eBelgium, when they see you are willing to help them out.

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
As i said, i tried yesterday.
It wasnt too difficult to find for who fight since BNA proposed it...
So i fought for moldova and everything was fine.
I asked for supply (several times) and got it (finally).
I striked and they won!
It was very very close so i think every hits counted and that's really rewarding.
Anyway, i think do it again when no DOF is planned.

Re: extra hits as mercenary?
country to watch out for:
apparently serbia is very confused. will be cautious going back there for supplies
So that's france, germany, and somewhat serbia I'm avoiding.

indeed Moldova is correct in this, they accept every level, and think that will change with all the others also with the new war-module
