there are just athletes that use doping and get caught and athletes that use doping but avoid getting caught...

Every year there is some idiot who(gets caught) using that stuff.

I never saw the need for glorifying athletes, other than boasting rights for the said country (as if it's the country's achievement that that particular athlete won)

But then again, I find the whole concept of watching sports in general p retarded. If you like a sport, don't practice it from behind your TV.

Shad, you'd only watch television to admire yourself. I'll buy you a mirror on your next birthday.

It's no glorifying, it's admiration. And we don't practice the sport from behind our television, we just are astonished what these top athletes manage to do.
And besides, we get to see a lot of sports during the Olympics we usually don't see.
