Re: Religion
So, are you now calling Konrad and Fhaemita perverted? Just cause they fight against homophobic comments?barabum wrote:Having religious beliefs; means I have and I respect some traditional values and norms, which you are missing evidently. I thought that Jezus said you should love each other, not that you should resent people cause their love is different than your love ...

Gotta love Christians who clearly only read what they want to read and cherry pick. They quote leviticus about what was said about homosexuality but ignore what else is forbidden in leviticus. Jezus hung out with the outcast, Jesus was about love and acceptance something Christians tend to forget. Let me quote you the bible just two verses that you should take to heart
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:34-35
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. - Luke 6:37
Also disclaimer:
Although I do not believe I do not have a problems who do believe. If they want to believe and find support in religion more power to them!. I do however have a problem with religious people pushing their religion and their religious standard upson me and use their believe against me.

Re: Religion
I heard that Matthew, John and Jezus regularly had a threesome with each other
So I think that Fhaemita is more following Jezus his way than barabum is ^^

Religion
To Fhae's post, let me add The Golden Rule, which is stated by almost every religion, including Christianity, as the standard for which believers should strive. I assume you do not wish to be harassed by others.

Re: Religion
I think that is was wrong to do this split, religion is not a subject that should be discussed on this forum, it will only provoke more trouble, or is it this the purpose of this split?

You started making a religious comment here that is how this discussion on religion started.
You seem to be unable (again) to come with any counter argument

not if there was a reasonable reaction when it was mentioned.

Freedom of speech is important, but discussing religion is the exception, it's always giving trouble, and that is a proven fact in history.

Re: Religion
What could be possible, is to exchange in your quote the word religion by something else and you come to a statement that is much more trueboer jan wrote:Freedom of speech is important, but discussing religion is the exception, it's always giving trouble, and that is a proven fact in history.

Reasonable reaction? Tell that to barabum who uses his religion to make derogatory comments about Konrad and me because where are gay. Do you think calling us pervers is reasonable? Barabum is the one who brought up religion and who uses it to make homophobic comments and "religious" picture that was clearly offense to someone who is gay. In the other thread you made a comment about double standard, Barabum can make comments about us because we are gay because of his religion but we cannot critique his religion that he uses to hate on us? Like I said I do not have a problem with religion only when it's (mis)used to hate on people and people who misinterpret the bible and cherry pick on what they read and want to use which is clearly the case with Barabum.

Re: Religion
Look, All I wanted to say is that if you are feeding the trouble, it only gets bigger, whoever starts whatever that is maybe wrong, or that you do not like, show that you are smart enough, you can react and after that it is finished, not like now, where both sides are equal in childish behaviour, you know that you can not change his vision and he knows you wont change yours, so shake hands drink a beer together and go playing.
At work I have a colleague who is gay, it happens that I see on his face that I said something wrong, if that happens I always say "Ben your d*ck is too long I stepped on it again", and he answers me with "you wanna see him" at that moment we both know that it is time to change conversation, I love working with that guy, he is great, and I am not gay at all, but even if it is someone else he hears telling something wrong, he turns his back on them and says, "those lesbians are talking again", and I "ssst, they may hear you", we both laugh and the others not knowing what, mostly go further. that is the spirit, not always going in defence and making things worse.
