Greetings my loyal servents
Look at this pretty sight! It is truly the United Kingdom'S
As Queen of eBelgium I must say it heart warming to see. I have been living in exile for way too long.
The Great Countru of eBelgium needs its Queen back and I am prepared to take the reign once more.
On a serious note.
The eUK is giving you your regions back. We were never enemies. Things happened we had some fun fighting but our countries have been friends and good neighbours for too long to let this get in the way of that. I do however see that eBelgium is a divided community. A small country that is at best a ping pong ball for Cot to play with. A small community easily overrun by malicious groups who pray on situations as this.
I know that seeing your country being occupied with another country is no fun but I really want you to consider to leave it that way; Become part of The United Kingdom'S. I hear you thinking what about congress, what about participation in government. The UK can offer a percentage of its congress seats to eBelgians. It is easy enough to create a eBe-party or just join one of the Top 5 parties and arrange people to be in congress.
Leaders, strong players, experienced players are ALWAYS in short demand. If you are worried about not getting any chances in The United Kingdom'S think again. the eUK is not THAT big. For the young ones there are more players available for helping them.
A merge would also mean an even larger gaming community. More fun! eUK have a very large gaming group outside erepublik. An awesome MC server, Supremacy games, steam players...you name it we got it. Again an added value to becoming part of a unity.
I hope you don't toss this offer aside purely on Nationalistic pride. Take this chance for a more variable and exiting experience.

Re: Greetings my loyal servents
Become a part of the great eUK where for every challenge you can compete with more people.
- The eUK where real Belgians have had a finger in the powercake since forever.
- The eUK where you would have 60/60 bonuses for your production.
- The eUK where the average wage is double that of eBelgium
- The eUK where there are more people to have fun with
- The eUK where you have parties with over 30 active members
- The eUK where you never feel forced to participate in a government because noone else will
You could ofcourse also choose to live in a country where you need to constantly fight with people that insult you and where you feel alone when you're attacked. A country that often feels more like a dictature then like a democracy.
I know I moved and I've been happy ever since.
P.S.: This is for eBelgium to decide on, preferably as a whole.

Such a single minded focus one goal is not good for you, NLSP. You will lose your edge if you have that secured for too long. You need new heights to strive for.
On a side not, or actually, back on topic, there are many possible advantages to a union, but also many likely obstacles.

Your free to liberate now (UK will be fighting France anyways and the official ok was given for this) and we can continue the discussion. One doesn't exclude the other. ^^JdlF wrote:Hi,

This is indeed a discussion worth doing, but it will feel better doing this discussion, when eBe is liberated and has free electionsNohjis wrote:Your free to liberate now (UK will be fighting France anyways and the official ok was given for this) and we can continue the discussion. Re: Greetings my loyal servents
There is nothing preventing eBe from doing an in-game poll of eBelgian citizens, whether or not we are liberated.

Are you implying eBelgian congress has more people discussing then it would have here ? We all know that's not the case. :pNLSP wrote:This is indeed a discussion worth doing, but it will feel better doing this discussion, when eBe is liberated and has free elections
Re: Greetings my loyal servents
No, I'm implying that while being conquered, some people might feel that the decision would be made under some kind of pressure.Nohjis wrote:Are you implying eBelgian congress has more people discussing then it would have here ? If you would want a union, you should give the discussion the liberty, breathing and honest decision making it needs, and while being conquered it could give the impression that there was not a real choice here.
Please note that I'm talking here about impressions and feelings that people might have, I'm not implying that any eUK citizen would do this. The reason I do this, is that when we would make some kind of union, this should be done in good faith based on a mutual trust relation and not start with bad feelings.
Re: Greetings my loyal servents
Unions are difficult with current game mechanics.
We need to give all citizens eUk citizen (a lot won't want to), and elections like CP and PP will go through no matter what even if eUK has all our regions.

Hence why I started this topic after UK officially announced eBe is free to RW its regions without any problems from our side.NLSP wrote:No, I'm implying that while being conquered, some people might feel that the decision would be made under some kind of pressure.Nohjis wrote:Are you implying eBelgian congress has more people discussing then it would have here ? Again, we are friendly neighbours. We do not wish to dominate eBelgium.

Germany helps us by keeping our regions, this helps us against the Serbian PTO.

And we shouldn't forget that we are in two different alliances. We should inform CoT about this before starting polls.

I know , I just wanted to point out that is important that this debate can go one without any hint of a possibility of pressuremittekemuis wrote:Hence why I started this topic after UK officially announced eBe is free to RW its regions without any problems from our side.

When we make such a poll, we should indeed tell CoT that this was suggested and BEFORE making any decisions, we find it important to hear the 'vox populi'. Such a poll should however be non-binding, and CoT has to be assured that the current government is totally dedicated into staying in CoT and being a loyal member of this allianceMCKitkat wrote:And we shouldn't forget that we are in two different alliances. Re: Greetings my loyal servents
eDenmark is like most (smaller) country a international country with people from a lot of different countries like Belgium for instance.MCKitkat wrote:Still eDenmark has very few players, could it be that most of them are eGermans ?
I think before we should even think about this we should think if a full union would be something we could do. Like I said there are multiple problems with a full union, people not wanting to take eUK citizenship, elections that will still happen, new citizens who are born with eBE citizenship etc etc. There are a lot of problems with a full union and if we would do it, HOPE wouldn't want to leave so people have to stay behind, enough to stop them from winning elections and wrecking the place.MCKitkat wrote:And we shouldn't forget that we are in two different alliances. But that also means
- getting all your trolls on our back (on the other hand we could try to compensate with shadowukcs but my little finger says he would want to stay in eBe to become even more powerful)
- being in that nasty TWO alliance ( more seriously, I wouldn't like abandoning our friends from CoT when they need us the most)
- Lose marks with the young eBelgian newcomers
- eBelgium will still continue to exist, a schisma will most assuredly happen.
- Are you seeking to drown us in the boredom of the eBrits?

Re: Greetings my loyal servents
No.
What does eUK have to offer really?
A fun community? We have one here, and at least I know everybody here. And I know quite some people in eUK that would be more a pain in the ass than a fun addition. Agreed, during my stay in eUK, I have met some awesome people there; but there also great people in eNL, eFR and eGermark.
So what else? 60/60 bonusses? ePL would grant us 100/100.
High average wage? In eRep, you can work in any country you want without travel or citizenship limitations.
Oh, by the way: invading us hasn't really helped to build trust, despite previous friendship (which I still nourish!).
So merging is currently at place 6. Right behind staying independent, merging with eNL, merging with eGermark, merging with eFrance and merging with ePoland.

Also I remember in the last period that I was in eBelgium I arranged for eNL and eBe to merge through 1 boarding region. This was approved with Poland but ....
Also yes this has indeed ups and downs and needs careful planning and looking at from all angles.
Because there is a precedence we can learn a lot from Germark too.

i think you have the part in comments who are for this idea.
The suggestion will be a good idea against ptoers, i agree with that.
But you have a big part who like fight for CoT and not for Two, you can't change that. You will have a division, you will lost citizens who are against.
I'm russian, i will not talk about my view, because i have nothing againsts eUK, but i don't want to be pro-Two.

I already explained how Belgium always has been more pro-UK than pro-CoT all these month: you didn't read it it seems (no MPP with Indonesia, no MPP with USA, no France in CoT).mittekemuis wrote:May I remind you that it was action reaction while the French invaded because they felt like it.Boklevski wrote:Well, at least compared to eUK, it has been a while since they invaded us...MCKitkat wrote:I'd rather kill myself then merging with those frenchs.Boklevski wrote:merging with eFrance

The result has been that UK decided to wipe us because of their TWO allegiance.
For Belgium has always been Belgium = UK > CoT, for UK instead TWO> UK > Belgium.
Even the myth that UK was preventing a Polish invasion is false, as the Polish CP confirmed that he didn't have yet any reason to attack Belgium: the UK has been more Polish than the Polish themselves!
And that only because you knew in Belgium you would have found people ready to believe to the British and forgive British arrogance to dictate Belgian policy.
