Maybe Romper's secret is that he's kind of an inverse multi: a heavy tank that is invested in by a group of RL players - with dedication and a few little euros per person, the working mode seems great fun for their buck. 5000 gold is less than 12 euro pp for 100 people for instance, weekly/monthly pocket money for most people in the 'industrialised world'. Feeding their queen, like we do with our respected ThomasRED on a smaller scale. With thousands of active players in a country, this seems to me just a question of organisation. The cited amount is conceivable in the budget of a big centralised eRep country or group of players.

In the same time, the game is bad.
A government can give a lot of gold to only one person who is online and the first fighter in the eWorld.
Before with limit packwelness, the government must give to several fighters.

Also, it is fairly impossible that he plays the game legit
Some people shouted that to do the damage he has done
He should have clicked the fighting button every 2.5 seconds all war long

Wich means clicking fight button (wich lags a lot) + clicking on the welnesspack (no lag for some kind of reason, *cough* greedy admins *cough*)
Wich means he has absolutely NO life, I mean
Even a fanatic world of warcraft players spends more time offline then him

My conslusion, Romper is using a bot script
Also, the fun is out of the game when one person does 100 times the damage of certain countries

The greed of the admins is slowly killing the game, no new players join as they have absolutely no militairy future, and old players stop after a while
So in the end it will just be Romper vs Bogdan

Maths dictate that you do most influence if you only tank with the guy with the most strength.

Limiting wellness packs will distribute that gold over more tanks. They will create more multi-headed monsters, with maybe somewhat less individual strength, but devastating group attacks. With a wp limit to 3000 (that's 1500 gold!!!), they would multiply by 2 or 3 the number of Rompers and they will attack in groups ... again it's just a question really willing to stay on top of the game.

Romper is only 1.4 % ahead of TR in strength (about 30% more so in rank influence), we could do about the same here provided we are willing and able to send the country's gold reserves in case of urgency and provided trust and organisation. In these proposed game rules, we might have to choose to tank with 2 or 3 'top dogs' or 'bee-queens' instead of currently only with TR, so as to exert maximum influence in Battles for Belgium.

Donating/gifting is not the same as buying or spending... the last two are allowed without limits afaik.

If gold is built up in advance for this, the NBB could request it to be donated from a network of 'trustee' citizens. You could also think about planning such an operation over several days ... but here i think the guy will use his own in-game gold account as a bank: he can spend his 'own' gold, probably trusted to him with the goal of 'single-spearhead tanking', without limits.

Romper or a group behind him. 300 euro is pocket change for a sufficiently big group. I don't see the problem, if they're organized enough to manage bookkeeping - again, we could do the same if we wanted.

6000 gold is less than 1500 €. Even small Belgium could imagine to assemble this kind of money IRL.

Another reason would be addiction to gaming. In that case, real pity for the player is appropriate.

And indeed, I spend 1€ without thinking, but for the average RL Somali or Cambodian, this represents maybe the full meal that they don't have today. I feel sorry for this world siuation, and try to do what i can to help. Ultimately, I must be a bit happy myself in order to produce happiness for others :-)
