What are the different parties?
So, I finally got cs \o/
Next thing I'd like to know is what each of the parties are, and what they want Belgium to be. I don't want this to turn into a poo slinging match, so if you can comment on your own parties that'd be good ^_^
While you're here, how do I help out in the MoH? :3
Thanks

Re: What are the different parties?
Parties:
Belgium for Belgian: Old party that state for freedom of speach and stuff like that. Has an historical trend to be a center left party but recently is more center right. Strongest eBelgian party, but a lot of 2 clickers.
Res Belgica: Also old party (even if it has a B4H period :p) that is more liberal.
Belgian Communist Party: Party of the current president. This is a communist party, but they do not want communism at state level but only at their level. On a state level, they are more liberal and as RB want to enforce freedom of citizen against a strong central state.
United Left Alliance: A left party. Got
All TOgethers: Center left authoritatian party. Currently rather neutral in the conflict. Want a merge with Netherlands on very long term.
And for the two new parties:
The m Party: Anarchists.
Bunny Kommanders: The Fascists
That sums it up, if you want more details, ask the PP

Re: What are the different parties?
The Om party is economically Centrist (balance between left and right) and socially Anarchist (believing in self-organisation). We originated less than ten days ago but we have a mission statement and a wiki page: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/The_Om_party We're politically quite near the ULA and also ATO and offer our members the liberty to follow their conscience when voting. For party issues we first strive for consensus, then internal democracy and only then (or in urgent cases) would the party president take decisions by himself.

Re: What are the different parties?
Perhaps it is more polite to let each party present themselves rather than doing so for them ?
The ULA is an alternative on the left, since we understand not all left-minded voters desire to be communists. We plan to focus on the eCommunity we are, a place where people are welcome and their ideas can be heard.
We are currently working on an ambitious programme for a social, democratic and international eBelgium. A programme which will focus on content and less on ego.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a shout.
Yours truly,
Adrien de Gerlache
P.S. Yes shadow, I believe I find myself to be the Big Goat after last elections.

Choose the party you want with the peoples you get along with.
Ideology don't matter mutch in this game. It is the friends you make that are important.

Re: What are the different parties?
BfB is a party that stand for unity and equality for every citizen. We also stand against anything related to a possible merge with eNL. We try to stay neutral in the conflict as well. We recently have been called shadowists, but those who do actually read the debates can see that we are truly just agreeing on some points with them, and only those that we believe in and would improve the environment of our small community.

Yes and no... As you have been able to see lately, some people defend their "friend" whatever happened, whatever they did, whatever the mistakes done, instead of defending some values at first. Friends is nice, but ideals is best at the end...

Re: What are the different parties?
Ideology in erepublik don't really matter at all when it come to parties. It is all roleplay.ThomasRED wrote:Xgentis Lempereur wrote:Choose the party you want with the peoples you get along with.

Re: What are the different parties?
I agree up to a certain point with Xgentis.
Parties are indeed mostly based on friendship more than on idea. However, friends tends to be created within persons that have similar ideas/purposes on the game .
And this does not impeach you to have friends in other parties *hugs Prophexy*

Re: What are the different parties?
I think even better organising parties around ideas would allow for:
- more clarity for newcomers
- less misunderstandings for more experienced citizens.
In the 'individual vs cooperation' debate, the Om party mission statement is geared towards national (and why not world-wide?) cooperation.
