What is the plan?

What is the plan Belgium is going to follow to ressurrect her economy?
The Belgian economy is kinda slowing down, cause of several reasons

1. There arent that much (active) players in Belgium
2. There are no wars, so tanks, rifles, artillery and helis arent sold
3. The onliest working part is the food sector because, everyone has to eat, but the prices in that sector are getting low, wich is good for you but bad for companies

I havent really looked to the other parts, but it seems to me that houses arent sold very much and also moving tickets have a very low price

1. War or a TW
2. Cheaper raws
3. More citizens

I've brought some people already into the game, some Belgian some from The Netherlands, but most of the time they quit after a day, a week or a month
When I check my friends list I see a whole lot of level 1, only a few reached level 6 and only one got higher then level 20 i think

Raws can be as cheap as you want, if no one is buying finished products, the manufacturing companies will not be buying raws either.

More citizens are the key for everything. This is how the economy reacts step by step:

More citizens -> more stuff being bought -> more demand for manufacturing companies -> higher prices of manufactured stuff -> higher profits for manu companies -> increased competition between existing, and new manu companies that want to take a share of the profit -> increased production of manu companies -> increased demand for raws + lower prices for manu stuff -> higher prices for raws -> increased production due to increased competition for raws -> lower prices of raws.

An economy always works in cycles, and usually you need to let it go through a cycle step by step. Simply trying to achieve the same end result by skipping all steps and going to the last part of a cycle isn't going to work. You can't simply lower prices of raws thinking more companies will start to produce and more people will start to play. It's the other way around.

I had thought that an experienced player would remember you can export as well.

Good luck finding enough active workers to keep a large exporting manufacturing economy afloat without getting more citizens.

I would think it would be better to first get the high unemployement rate down before we try to get new citizens.
We have enough workers but not enough jobs. Instead of trying to undermine our economy you should help stimulate the idea of export.

the problem is export is a heavy cost: 20 gold required for the export license and afterwards you need to constantly exchange your foreign valuta into BEF, which is either a slow process or an expensive one. However, for belgium it is the only way to go.

Maybe the Belgian governement can create a support system so the governement pays 10 or 15 gold for the export license and the GM only has to pay 10 or 5 gold, wich makes it more interesting and less heavier to cary

Lol. We have a high unemployment rate because we have a high inactivity level. All those people without a job, are inactives. Everyone who plays actively already has a job, or doesn't want/need one.

We need to be able to fund it though, and also regulate how many licenses can be bought this way, and what requirements a company should meet to be eligible.

Ofcourse, but you should discuss this in your parliament, this is a possible solution
Good requirements would be, trusted managers, known as belgians, having the Belgian nationality, having experience in industries
Then the managers should say where they want an license to, then the governement can look if they can agree with it

If its weapons you want to export, make sure its Q5 graded, don't bother exporting anything less...

I am all for not thinking about what is best for the country. Do whatever I want, preferable if it is against the will of congress. f :no: up eBelgium economy by changing the PEG because I have enough gold and BEF to do it. Meanwhile I do if I care about eBelgium.

Actually I wanted to become president so I can f :no: the country even more up. As long as I get more rich I am doing good.

I think I know everything just because I started this game years ago and now have a lot of cash. I like to change my opinion from day to day and say very confusing things.
