It seems they have stopped people making companies as they are going to release new raw materials, which I suppose would be good...

Re: eRep evolution...
Hey guys, Erepublik is motivating people to become congress members, dont you think?
We should keep that as we cant leave our country to fight elsewhere, how should we else get experience points whenever we want?
Thank God, I just voted for every proposal that was up before i received the message
Honorable Congress Member,
We are writing this message in order to let you know that we have removed the experience points Congress Members receive when voting laws for their country.
This change was required because our data shows that some Congress Members are abusing this system to get the reward. We strongly consider that the only purpose of the Country Administration module is to administrate the country in the best interest of your fellow citizens.
The experience points gained until now will not be affected.
Thank you for your support and understanding,
Your eRepublik team

I got this message too, it seems that I now have one less reason to become a Congressmen
If it wasn't for me becoming a congressmen, I wouldn't be a Level 24 citizen so....

Re: eRep evolution...
You don't become a Congress member for the experience points, it was at best a pleasant side effect. I won't deny that I too enjoyed getting them when I was a Congress member in the past, but removing this "reward" (the opportunity and the honour to serve your country should be enough reward if you ask me) could have positive consequences of less inactive Congress members and medal whores running for the position, and no more lulz proposals for the free xp, which sometimes confuses the less informed citizens and outsiders.
As to the new industries... What I now remember as the most positive part of V1 was it's continuity - in the 6-7 month I got to play it, hardly anything changed and we only had the promiss of a brand new, perfected version. Now something is changed or adjusted almost every week and we have the fear things will only get worse...

I agree with your first paragraph.
Me too, and I agree even more with the second one - especially from a economic point-of-view... (Changing the game every week isn't good for companies or a country's stability...)
Re: eRep evolution...
I really doubt that even before the change medal whores stuck around for those couple of free experience points they got from voting (it was still just 1xp per vote, right?) if that meant that they would miss out on fighting opportunities. The name says it all - they're opportunists (and also the oldest profession to be rewarded with medals ).Glenn Wauters wrote:The onliest difference now is, that medal whores simply resign if they wanna go fight elsewhere
Don't forget that about 2 gold equals about 30xp - the more wealthy citizens can afford that (and the smarter citizens can get the food even cheaper). But even the less wealthy (usually younger) citizens can afford to buy food regularly to fight a couple of times a day or every two days, which is still a couple of xp extraIvan Alexashenko wrote:Yes,but who wants fight? For few xp?And for useless rank which is only /10 damage you done?

We would like to inform you that on Monday, Day 1105 of the New World, all the active wars with no battles in the past 30 days will be closed. Also, once this new features goes live, the initiative will be set in the remaining active wars to the country winning the last battle.
All the investments to open the wars will be refunded to each country.

I think the experience points where a nice bonus and as congress members work for free I don't see why that needed to be taken out. For younger citizens this was an excellent opportunity to lvl up.
With the second paragraph I agree 100%
If they would stop changing everything constantly I am sure the economy would stabilize but as long as they keep changing stuff it will only sink deeper

In a resistance war you have to move to that region to be able to attack it as a resistance warrior, but because the region is owned by a foreign country you can also choose to defend it

Battle of the Day Improvements
We are happy to inform you that we made some improvements on the "Battle of the day" module. You are now able to set also Resistance Wars and Allies' Battles as your "Battle of the day", plus you are also able to unset an already existing Battle of the day. Also, Battle of the day can now be found in your Country Administration panel. We hope it will now be easier to use and more useful for you.
Message for Presidents, it's a nice improvement, even if eBE don't have a lot of differents battles in the same time...
