Erepublik is crap, even a mental hadicaped person wouldnt join right now
The onliest reason we're still hanging around is because we are high levels, we have our own companies, we can produce enough to keep ourselves alive

We still need to increase our Population though , wether it isn't the best time for it.
We should be constntly trying to increase it no matter the situation , so we can get the best possible.
