Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
I can't be in the Gov or Congress because of the SC, I just didn't know if I could be PP or not.
And I was thinking of runing for the BIP before it got taken over so I'm concidering running for it this month.

Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
well, if it is for anti PTO, or something no prob
is it for having some power in the political landscape then it is not forbidden but please don't do it
But since it is not the last, you can

Nope, you cannot be par of a party as you have to be neutral
Being a PP will mean that you will advantage your own party members
It doesnt matter if you do or dont, you just can do it as you have to remain as neutral as possible

It is a matter of principal, 4 or 40 doesn't matter. You would be considered bias if one of your own came in to investigation.

I don't see what the big deal is, in pretty much every all eCountry the admins are not even democratically chosen and most are party members.
1. It doesn't necessarily make the admin biased
2. You have 2 other admins who can see if he is being biased or not

It is not because he is an administrator it is because he is judge in the SC.

You could always agree to resign from the SC if you win the PP election.

If I resign, the SC collaspes (you need 3 members)
Tbh, I kinda expected to have allready resigned by now.

Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
The SC wouldn't necessarily collapse, it would just require another appointment. Perhaps that could even be done ahead of time so that the quorum remains if you are elected PP. Surely there is a procedure for appointing new SC Justices.

Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
yeah, but concidering it took like 6 months to find us three, I doupt they'll be able to get someone else.
Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
Yeah, I imagine not many people would want to sacrifice the potential for a political career by being a Justice. Let me ask, though, as a Justice, do you fulfill any particular duties on a regular basis? When was the last case you had to try?

Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
Our only case was in the first half of January but it was completly pointless because we didn't have any laws in this country to convict people on and congress couldn't be arsed to make any.

or 1 month starting from the point that me myself and I became MoJMedrolke wrote:yeah, but concidering it took like 6 months to find us three, I doupt they'll be able to get someone else.
btw, nobody can force you to quit if you become PP => there is no regulation about it!
Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
I agree with NLSP. There is nothing in the constitution about PP not being able to serve on the SC. In fact, there was a discussion at one point about the possibility of making the 5 PPs the SC automatically. This did not pass, but there was no suggestion that a PP could not also be a good justice. If there is a question about lack of bias, I would think the justice should recuse himself from the particular case, no matter what other positions he does or does not have.

Re: [Public politics]Am I Allowed to Run for PP?
Tbh, I'm much more likely to be biased towards people I like rather than people that are in my party.

I like the idea of the five PPs being the SC Justices. Perhaps the issue can be readdressed.
