Honnestly :

1 - Can you fire all skill 3 - 2 that are currently in your company? Because you are not really in line with what you are promoting, you are the first one ^^

2 - If you plan to help the new people, do you also plan to help them raise their wellness? I can see some bellow wellness 40, if you plan to be a training company will you complete your job?

3 - For 2.10 BEF the raise is quite ridiculous as it will not even allow you to buy higher Q bread.

4 - Like IRL : your fair trade only seems a way to me to get more money as you will set higher prices, but the workers don't really feel it.

5 - If you want to waist your money, go on but I don't think that in eRepublik people will accept to buy higher priced products as there is not difference. I doubt that you will be able to sell your products at the price you are selling them (nearly 0.3 BEF more than the lowest on the market). Basic economics.

meh, i think its a stupid idea, but irl people pay 50 cents more for coffee that ultimately hurts coffee owners, a little more money today for no job tomorrow. so.. good luck? dont think its going to work out. :/

The project is still in its beginning stage, it needs some fine tuning, and every constructive criticism is welcome.

1. As a private initiative and aware of the fact that this enterprise will never be profitable, we still have to cut down our losses. It was never stated that ONLY newcomers with skill 0 & 1 could work there (it was even made explicit that higher skilled players could volunteer for the same wage as the others to highten the productivity), but that there always would be jobs available for these low skilled newcomers. I'm the first to work there for a skill 1 wage (which is 4 times less than my previous pay check).

2. This is a very good point, and we were getting to it. Wellness 40 should become the minimum.

3. This may be so, but in the beginning stage this is the best we could do. After the new minimum wage was applied we had to lower our wage as well, but the difference with most other skill 0 job offer is about 0.25 BEF now, which already after two days working means an extra Q1 food that the new player can afford. But this significance is rather symbolical.

4. Well, the workers have this slightly higher income (again its importance is of a rather symbolical and psychological nature), but the important thing is the availability of low skill jobs and the wage differenciation between skill 0 and 1 - before today there were no skill level 1 jobs, and the other offer on the job market pays the same minimum wage. The higher product price is indeed ment to generate a higher revenue, but only to cut down some of the losses - we have little illusions of making profit or even breaking even.

5. The price will have to adapt to the demand gradualy, but I'll have to diasagree with you that there is no difference - the product provides a symbolical added value, promoting the idea of solidarity and a sense of commitment towards weaker layers of our society, just as the RL fair trade products do (fair trade coffee is more expensive, but it tastes the same - the difference is the feeling of doing a noble thing, which some people seem to appreciate). Added value is also somewhere in the economy books, although I must admit that in eRepublik this extra dimension is more limited.

This probably will be a crusade against the wind mills, but it could be fun along the way and maybe even generate some positive things, albeit by accident Wink
