Belgium was among the first countries in the beginning of eRepublik. Belgium's population grew slowly before they agreed to merge with the United Kingdom in April 2008. In February 2009, 10 months after Belgium merged with the United Kingdom, two resistance wars were launched to free Belgium

Who wrote this? And who can correct the info given there?

Why correct it? It is true (from what I heard at least, I wasn't playing at that time).

tbf, it wasn't really a merge. eBelgium at that time had 3 active ppl (I'm not kidding or exaggerating). 2 of them where RL friends and another one was a guy who barely understood the game.

so I talked to the CP (elected with 3 or 4 votes or something) and I convinced him to merge with us. I was VP in eUK at the time and I had him in my msn. A few days later eBelgium attacked eUK (vote passes with 2 yes votes to 0), we conquered them and the merge was a success. 3 days later or so I became CP of eUK

The eBelgium community in eUK actually did really good. testimony to that are the many eBelgian Betagiants who still live in eUK (vettige swa, malchert, banaan, ... ) They had special privileges in the army, on the forum and in politics.

Twas only after operation french toast that the french took back Walonia and we decided to liberate eBE

You know, if the eUK would shape up (aka quit being the laughing-stock of the world, quit backstabbing allies like it's in style, and the such), I'd be game for merging with them. One of the larger English speaking communities, no language barrier for me, and I know a number of English irl that are all quite decent. Hell, my girlfriend is originally from Salisbury.

So yeah... Shad, get the eUKers to quit be so icky or something.

Indeed. It's such a shame that region is just sitting there not connected to a capital. If there was only a generous country who would come in and liberate it into their capital connected land. But who would do such a noble thing?

Does your nation have someone committed to updating the wiki? We adopted a Minister to do this in eNZ and then basically I took over the duties.

This belong to MoHA attributions I think, but it's not done a lot^^.

I think Jofroi is right, but it has indeed been low on the priority list for MoHA in most administrations I have been involved with, including this one. We are so few in numbers, it is not always easy to find someone with the time and skills to do this work.

We used to have a staatsecretaris (deputy minister) under the minister of home affairs at least I had when I was president. I think that it is a position that should exist and be filled

I agree with FM. Someone should update it all the time. Even though I am sure how many people look at. It is a good thing to keep up to date.
