Long update Empty Long update

Post by Helviro 2012-01-30, 09:36

Just tried to log in to Erep to do my daily tasks.

The website is going to be offline for 105 minutes (at least).

Is this just going to be removing orgs and toolboxes?

question: is there an other way to apply for a job besides the job market?

in the past you could visit one's lands, go to the specific company and apply for the joboffer, but now it seems you can't do that anymore.

I think that is because employees are not tied to any particular one of your companies any more. They simply work for you, and you decide where you need them on any particular day.

I'll have to confirm this as my workers do their jobs but it's quite possible to have more then 10 people work in your top companies.

I'm not certain they managed to change anything about the hire / fire strategy. It's quite possible they made it even easier and available on a much larger scale.

I confirm Nohjis, with 1 Q6 company you can make 2000 people work in it if you want Wink.

So my strategy is: Hire as much as possible and make everyone work in my Q6. Then sell to the bot.

Can you have this confirmed ? I can see it's not their intention from looking at the module.

from what I got from both my latest and previous talks with admins, was that they mainly did this update to prevent ppl from hire/firing and to prevent a few highly active employers to control the entire job market.

If they would allow something like this, it would go in against everything they've been claiming to work towards.

actually scratch what I said earlier

had a chat with xtas

[18:33] < XtaSia> okey
[18:33] < XtaSia> so...
[18:33] < XtaSia> they can hire more
[18:33] < XtaSia> but they can start production only with maximum 10
[18:33] < XtaSia> Smile
[18:34] < shadowukcs> ok, so basically you are saying that someone with 1 Q6 company can only make maximum 120 tanks/day (10 employees + WAM)
[18:35] < shadowukcs> because right now, there are several people saying that they can do more and that erep doesn't keep track of the amount of people that already worked in that particular company (that's also the case in my companies)
[18:36] < XtaSia> wait
[18:36] < XtaSia> no.
[18:37] < XtaSia> if you have 3 companies
[18:37] < shadowukcs> yes
[18:37] < XtaSia> 1 q6 and 2 rubber
[18:37] < XtaSia> and you have rubber
[18:37] < XtaSia> you cna use the 2 X 4 employees you got from the companies
[18:37] < XtaSia> in the weapon one
[18:37] < shadowukcs> oh I see
[18:38] < XtaSia> so you will start production with 1-
[18:38] < XtaSia> 10
[18:38] < XtaSia> and then another 8
[18:38] < XtaSia> but that was it
[18:38] < XtaSia> then it comes the limit
[18:38] < XtaSia> so yes, you are aware to chose were to put the works you have
[18:38] < XtaSia> you are free*
[18:38] < XtaSia> where*
[18:38] < XtaSia> dammit
[18:39] < XtaSia> I am a bit tired Very Happy
[18:39] < shadowukcs> right, but then if someone who has, for example 100 Q1 gain farms (room for 1 worker) and 1 Q6 company, he can make 2200 tanks?
[18:40] < XtaSia> yup Very Happy
[18:40] < shadowukcs> (100*20 from the grain spots + 10*20 from the Q6 spots)
[18:40] < shadowukcs> aaaah ok. now I get it
[18:40] < shadowukcs> that clarifies it
[18:40] < XtaSia> that`s a god way of abusing
[18:40] < XtaSia> but meh...
[18:40] < XtaSia> :/
[18:40] < shadowukcs> thank you
[18:40] < shadowukcs> yes indeed, it does leave some room for abusing
[18:40] < XtaSia> his choice if he doesn`t need grain Very Happy
[18:40] < shadowukcs> kk

lol, it's not gold you should be stocking. It's RM that will become more costly soon.

now that no one will be people working in RM and everyone will set their workers on Q6, they will certainly gain a bit in value

Well, the problem is that the bot is not buying enough to buy all the Q6 products that will be produced.

There will be a big problem there.

not at all. You should wait a few more days till it starts to get a real impact.

especially in major countries now that they can let an unlimited supply of workers, work in their Q6, most communes have shifted most, if not all their workers to production in stead of WRM. I see this is in all major militia's so I can only assume the smaller one's will follow soon as well.

The global production of WRM/FRM will drop while the need for it will rise.

or to say it economically: RM prices will go up, wages will go up and guns will go down.

and that will be stabilised by people buying Q4 raw companies for 2 reasons
* having more employees
* the profit margins have been increased in raws

so after some time the prices of raw will decrease again

not really. Q4 is over. Done with for anything other than self sufficiency in WRM.

If people to build companies purely for having more employees, they build Q5. Especially in the big countries where the PEG is 0.003 and higher
