A replay of the quarter finals in Brisbane. Will team 2 be able to revenge their loss? It doesn't look like it in the first set. No reaction against the hard serves from team 1. In the second set this streak continues. It looks like it will be a disaster match for team 2. And no change in the third set. Team 1 was magnificent today. The winners of Brisbane seem unbeatable in Australia.

Ahakas/RaphZz vs. Jonathan Clay/Johny English A
Jonathan Clay and Johny English A are the only ones who can avoid a rematch of the final in Brisbane. In the first set it doesn't seem like it. Hard serves are once again very important today. Both players from team 1 are on fire now. But in the second and third set it's a completely different image. A perfect play by Team 3! Jonathan on the net is superb and their teamwork pays off. A tiebreak in the fourth set decides the outcome in favor of team 3.

Will Fhaemita be able to beat Brisbane-winner and favourite Ahakas? The first set is more a one-way game, as Ahakas makes lots of aces, combined with great shots in rally's. But as the match progresses, Fhaemita gets more opportunities to get to the net, and he rounds of these chances. This goes on for 2 sets. A comeback of Ahakas comes too late in the fourth set and so the winner of Brisbane is out of the Australian Open.

Nohjis vs. Sammy Tanghe

A bad day for Sammy, as Nohjis is far more superior in the rally's. Some very good serves doesn't work against the tactics on the net by Nohjis. In the third set, there is a bit of hope for Sammy, as Nohjis fails to score easy points. He gets a 5-2 lead, but even then, Nohjis beats him in the tiebreak.

Both teams are very organised. Great tactics make a great game. In the first set, team 3 has a slight advantage. Team 1 seems to be struggling with the left-handed Jonathan Clay. But in the second set, the disadvantaged is overruled by the serves of team 1. Lots of aces bring the second set to a win for them. Same story in the third set. Spectacular points by Sammy please the crowd, who, for some vague reason, keep shouting "throw another shrimp on the barbee". Must be the heat... The fourth set is showing the strength of team 1 on hardcourt. Easy win in the set, mostly due faults by team 3. That means that team 1 wins the Australian Open!

Fairly similar players. Will Nohjis be able to resist Fhaemita's serves?
It seems so... Nohjis is capable to change his shots, while Fhaemita is more focused of using his forehand. The first set goes to Nohjis. But Fhaemita is warmed up. Aces are no exception this match. In the third set, Nohjis finally finds an answer to this and smashes his shots back with a deadly accuracy. Fhaemita is demotivated and loses the fourth set too.

Being superior in the rally's, Boklevski and Nohjis take the first set with ease. But after a 1-4 standings in the second set, Helviro shows his class on the clay ground and makes sure his team wins in a tiebreak. Team 2 is demotivated and the next two sets go easily to team 4, who will be competing for the title in Madrid.

A very close game here. Both teams have some decent skills on clay ground, and this results in a long match with several rally's. Mostly these long points are won by team 5, but the service qualities of team 3 balance the match. In the end, team 5 gets the upperhand after multiple unforced errors of team 3, who are, ofcourse, very disappointed.

El1temkd brings MaryamQ in trouble in the first set. A lot of different tactics force her to make lots of unforced errors. But after the second set, who was only just won by MaryamQ, the balance changes, as MaryamQ speeds up the game. This results in two very easy sets for her.

Helviro vs. Bert_en_Ernie

Not much to say about this. Helviro sends him to all the corners of the field. Only the first set you can call "exciting", after that it's just a one man show. Helviro will be fresh in the final against MaryamQ...

Very good tactics of team 5 in the first set. Team 4 is having trouble to keep up the pace. Lots of winners to team 5 and the win in the first set. In the second set, team 4 tries to strike back, but they end up against a very defensive tactic, which ultimately leads to another set win for team 4. The third set shows the power of Helviro on clay, and so team 4 wins the third set in a tiebreak. But they started to create opportunities too late and team 5 takes the win after an exciting fourth set.
