I really do not understand why the Greeks are so lame about Macedonia.

Macedonia the country has the right to be called that. Do you see the French and the Germans bitch about Charlemagne/ Karl der Große? The Frankish Empire expands what is Germany and France today and both countries share their heroes and history.

We do not hear the peoples of Mali and Mauritania complaining about Ghana today for using the name Ghana for Ancient Ghana is hundreds and of miles away. The country of Ghana believes and likes the ideals of the Ancient Ghanian Empire that they honored the empire with the name of their state.

Many parts of the Ancient Macedonia contains parts of Greece and the country Macedonia today. Also back then, there was no Greece but many different states like Athens, Sparta. Your Greek nationalism is a modern artificial construct that does not offer you any more legitimacy in your claims than the Macedonians of the country of Macedonia. The region of Macedonia is huge covers parts all parts of Macedonia the country, parts of Southern Bulgaria and part of Greece. The Greeks needs to learn to share their history for modern borders does not reflects the borders of the past. The Macedonians of the country of Macedonia has the same rights to call themselves Macedonians as the Macedonians in Bulgaria or Greece has...

(On a side note about the LCC Greeks, it is strange for commies and "people who do not believes in borders and citizenship etc" bitch so much about nationality. They are indeed so ingrained with this neo-tribalism which does not reflects the ideals of the left or radical left at all...)
