What the heck to spend gold on Empty What the heck to spend gold on

Post by goopypants 2012-09-26, 08:34

so if i cleared out my in game bank account (110 gold), downgraded and sold my factories and raws (120 gold) and downgraded my rocket factory (10 gold) I'd have around 240 gold.

If someone had 240 gold to spend, what the heck is worth buying? No company or raw factory is anywhere near long term profitable...

Guess I'll just indefinitely train at my 3 Q3 TGs and work in someone's crap factory for the daily reward. No point in upgrading the last TG (the shooting range).

Oh well. Don't be too surprised if I wander off into the sunset... there being nothing reasonable to spend gold on. The gap between "doing ok having never bought gold" and "MUST BUY GOLD EVERY WEEK TO MAX OUT" is too big (and not worth it to cross).

The Q4 upgrade for TG and CC... that's about it when talking about "good" investments. (Q4 TG: 0.40 Gold a day instead of 0.30 from Q3 and Q4 CC: 0.01 Gold instead of -0.04 Gold from Q3) But it's still investing 112 Gold to earn it back only 2 years from now. On the bright side Training contracts might very well be profitable using 3/4 Q4 Training facilities but haven't done the maths yet.

You can always consider building WRM plants (Q4 or Q5 whichever you prefer) should bring in some CC but it won't be a lot and quite frankly not certain it's worth the effort anymore either.

If you upgrade everything to q4 you earn 90 strength a day for the cost of 3.47 gold a day. With 50% contract it will only cost you 1.74. A medal earns you 5 gold for 250 strenght.

Without contract: 3.47/90*250-5= 4.6 gold loss per medal
With 50% contract: 1.74/90*250-5= 0.166675 gold profit per medal

yeah, i think they put in the t4 strength training stuff to try and find something for non-gold-buyers to aspire to that isn't 300+ gold.

Sorry, but the 50% contract is not for free. So you lose gold the same.

Corrected and updated it. These calculations are for 1 month(30days).

Everything Q4=90*30=2700 strenght a month
2700 strength/ 250 a medal=10.8 medals= 54 gold
Cost of everything = 2,87 gold*30 =86,1 gold
Cost of everything with 50% contract = 43,1gold
So without contract = 86,1-54= 32,1 gold loss a month
With contract(50%) =43,1 -54 + 30 for the contract = 19,1 gold loss a month

With the daily bonus you actually get 11 SS medals a month Smile

Correct, but daily medals don't have anything to do with spending gold on tc's, so I didn't use them in my calculations.
