Hello, I'm Cody Franklin. I am the recently-appointed Ambassador from the United States. You may have noticed me recently on the forums, and you may not have. I just wanted to take the time to set up an official thread for anyone who needed to get in contact with me (or, by association, any of my superiors). I look forward to working with Belgium in the future, and I hope that our nations can develop some deep, meaningful diplomatic relations during my tenure as Ambassador.

Well the higher-up guys felt they need to give active citizens the ability to learn how the executive works and help their country, so they made a lot of deputy and intern positions. As long as these people do stuff and learn, Why not Smile

Things sure have changed since I was in the US Cabinet. Foreign Affairs was handled by a single department: the State Department. We didn't have interns, there weren't more than one Deputy, and some of those positions didn't exist yet. Much simpler times, and we were even in the midst of a massive world war. Should have elected HR.

Short version it's all about power.
Long version basically congress wanted to have more access to what the military was doing with funds but the military used OPSEC (there way of saying classified) to deny them this and since then they had been fighting over it and other tiny things until right before the invasion of our lands by Spain congress gave them an ultimatum to either to do what they want or cut funding. They JCS or leaders decided to leave the official status of being the us army in an attempt I believe to force congress to back off but instead congress and president emerick formed the new us military. The old us military is now mostly a giant militia but are still having problems with the government today.

This is America if there is no internal struggles somethings not right. Start up a militia if you want the way they work here is people work in a commune and the militia groups gives people the supplies that are made and the government also gives the militias money to help

That is the basic system we started up in eNZ around December. The NZDF operates in the basic fashion but our government is also supporting new start-up groups who are affiliated with the NZDF.

Rather curious question? Any idea if the eUSA will get an embassy to us Kiwis down under?
