Well, I think you'll be far further than me in this race, so we will probably not even meet, like previous race Neutral

Might be some spelling mistakes cause I've got to rush for football, but enjoy anyways^^.

****

The guitars of the mariachiband welcome us in the breath-taking country of Mexico, the theatre of the third race of the eBeRacers championship. Some esse created a marvellous track throughout the altiplano, the highland of Central America where large plains are connected with sandy roads and are alternated by desert-like wasteland. The finish line is drawn on a part of the highway which connects New Mexico with Chihuahua. Who will drink the tequila today and who will be obliged to grow a depressing moustache? I’m sure the qualification laps are going to give us some insight.

First off is Cotarius, who felt like a fish in the water on the sandy portions but couldn’t keep up the pace. Not a problem, his races will come later on in the season. Next is Konrad, who was nicknamed “El Lanza” or the spear by the many locals who have gathered to witness this event. He does not betray this saying and puts a sharp time on the tables. Rider by rider breaks his teeth on this magnificent time, until we’re up to Critically. The ever-been comrade of Konrad tries to keep the gap as small as possible throughout the plains. Everything is still possible when he turns on the highway. The time difference is minimal and it keeps on getting smaller… 0.11 sec, 0.08 sec, 0.06 sec… There’s the finish line! And it is Konrad who holds on to the pole position.

1. Konrad
2. Critically 0.05 sec
3. Pieter 0.79 sec
4. BeaverJuice 1.00 sec
5. EcoFreak 1.26 sec
6. Jlautour 1.36 sec
7. Raskol 1.63 sec
8. Cotarius 2.25 sec
9. Yannis 2.57 sec

Mirrors are getting cleaned for the umpteenth time, the tire-heaters are getting tucked away and the oil is checked once more. Tension is rising until… Bang! With a well-timed pistol shot, the racers are starting right away. No one has missed his start, except for Raskol who had some trouble finding the good pace. Mistakes are expensive and Cotarius directs his car into seventh position.
The second lap only brings a minor mistake by Konrad. Although he and Konrad are the sky-high favourites for this days race, Critically decides to stand by his friend and keep Konrad in the first spot. The two teammates are really torturing the field with their speed, but it seems as if Critically might have overestimated himself! His wheel gets stuck in the sand and in the blink of an eye, he gets overtaken by Pieter. Seeing that his enemy is in trouble, Pieter gives him an extra hit so BeaverJuice might take advantage of the situation as well. And Beaver recognises an interesting momentum when he sees one. On one of the sandy roads leading up to the finish line he speeds up, comes next to Pieter and pushes his enemy off the road! Second place for Beaver and bad luck for Pieter who sees that Critically can catch up as well. It keeps going downward for Pieter as he also misses a turn on the race track and therefor can’t react when EcoFreak passes him by. From four, up to two and back down to five in only a few miles!
On to lap number four then where we see an ambitious EcoFreak who opens (non-literal) fire on Critically but that one doesn’t let that happen. “Anyone but Eco”, the winner of the previous race grumbles and he neutralises the attack. So when we pass the finish line for the fourth time, these are the intermediate times:

1. Konrad; 2. BeaverJuice 1.1 sec; 3. Critically 2.4 sec; 4. EcoFreak 4.2 sec; 5. Pieter 4.5 sec; 6. Jlautour 5.4 sec; 7. Raskol 7.1 sec; 8. Cotarius 8.4 sec; 9. Yannis 12.2 sec

Lap five and the tension rises! In the back of the pack, we see a mistake being made by “The Ghost” Jlautour, which plays in the advantage of Raskol. Following on from this event, Yannis goes in attack. Aided by the slipstream from Cotarius, she manages to skip by Jlautour. In the meanwhile, we see a little slip from EcoFreak, but his teammate Raskol gives him the opportunity for a nice recovery, so no harm there. It even turns out better for EcoFreak when suddenly he sees an opportunity to pass by Critically! The Crit was just seconds earlier the victim of a violent attack from Pieter who managed to pass him by on the left side. Still in eager surprise, EcoFreak gets the opportunity to move past Critically as well.
It doesn’t take long, thou, as Critically is the intrinsic faster racer. But when he decides to attack Pieter in lap six, it doesn’t turn out the way he hoped. Pieter shows a perfect blocking manoeuvre and holds on to the third spot. Behind him, we see an evenly well performed block by Raskol who holds back an attack by Yannis. More excitement even in front of the VIP gallery when BeaverJuice makes a small mistake. Looking in his left mirror, he misses out on Pieter and “Le Aimable” moves up to place number two. The next lap brings happiness and joy in the Raskol-EcoFreak camp. With a smooth attack and Eco’s help, Raskol skips past Critically. But he can he hold the Crit back for another three rounds with his lower speed?

1. Konrad; 2. Pieter 5 sec; 3. Beaver Juice 5.3 sec; 4. Raskol 6.6 sec; 5. Critically 8.9 sec; 6. EcoFreak 8.9 sec; 7. Jlautour 14.4 sec; 8. Yannis 14.9 sec; 9. Cotarius 16.7 sec.

Lap eight brings all we want from automobile racing. First, there is an attack by Pieter but he can’t close the gap on Konrad. It seems as if no one will stop El Lanza today! Next who feels the attacking itch is Cotarius, and with a little hand from Yannis, he can pass by Jlautour. BeaverJuice dares his leep of faith as well. He outmanoeuvres his nemesis Pieter and swiftly reaches the second position. The sheer surprise even makes Pieter lose another spot to Raskol.
EcoFreak has a trick up his sleeve left as well, but once more we hear the onboard radio grumble “No pasaran!” as Critically can cover the attack. His teammate Raskol has more luck and puts it on full throttle. BeaverJuice has no riposte and Raskol is in an unexpected second spot. But his passages through the altiplano show that he lacks the natural speed to hold on on this track… First there is Beaver who can counter. And then there is Critically, who gives all he has for one final attack. Crit passed by Raskol but does he have the time left to grab back BeaverJuice?
Just like in the qualifications, Critically makes a hell of a pursuit. Turn by turn he nibbles off a few tenths of a second. He gets close. But there is the highway already. He gets closer. But we’re going in the last turn! He gets into the slipstream, moves his car on the left side of BeaverJuice and… No! It’s Beaver who grabs a second place and holds on to the first position in the championship! Raskol loses another spot to Pieter. But all must bow today for Konrad, a undisputed victory for El Lanza who dominated this race from start to finish. After a small mistake in lap two, corrected with his teammates help, he produced a pace that no one could follow. A marvellous winner of a marvellous race!

Like a boss

1. Konrad
2. BeaverJuice 9.2 sec
3. Critically 9.3 sec
4. Pieter 10.8 sec
5. Raskol 11.6 sec
6. EcoFreak 14.0 sec
7. Cotarius 20.1 sec
8. Jlautour 21.2 sec
9. Yannis 23.7 sec

eBeRacersChampionship:
1. BeaverJuice 25
2. Critically 22
3. Konrad 17
4. EcoFreak 17
5. Raskol 15
6. Pieter 11
7. Yannis 10
8. Jlautour 8
9. Cotarius 4

Director’s commentary: “Well, it all shows how important the tactics are. Critically and Konrad were almost as fast as each other, but one had an easy race and went full speed to victory. The other get to battle every lap, over and over and missed the juice in the end to grab second place. Beaver is showing great consistence, good tactics are doing the trick here. We have decided to scrap Jlautour from the championship, we want active riders! And we hope to see that activity Sunday, when we are visiting the course of South Africa, which is a bit similar to Mexico but I can tell you that Upington is quite close to the Kalahari…”

PLEASE PM THE TACTICS (same format as previous race, 2 attacks, 1 bad luck, 1 enemy, 1 teammate) TO ME BEFORE SUNDAG 12/01: 0000 ErEPTIME!

Post by NicknameFromRonny 2013-01-15, 12:43

While the sun is dancing across a heavenly blue sky, our eight competitors are preparing themselves for the fourth race of these championships. A sandstorm delayed the race for a few hours, but know everybody is ready and set to take on this track. While the director is having fun with some of the pitgirls and the local wine, the riders try to recall the turns and twists of this misleading race for the last time. Starting on a sandy road near Upington, the race takes you into the savannah, all the way to the starting slopes of the Kalahari desert. It will take a powerful car and some good steering to conquer this track!

Cotarius sets a good direction point for the other race and one by one, they fail to crack his time. We have to wait for Konrad to see a new top time and he immediately trashes the other riders. Konrad “El Lanza” shows immediately that he is the number one favourite on this track dominated by grass and sand, he just loves this kind of tracks. Neither Critically nor BeaverJuice manage to take over the pole position, but they show there will be some good close fights today.

1. Konrad
2. Critically 1.21 sec
3. BeaverJuice 1.57 sec
4. Cotarius 1.57 sec
5. Pieter 1.89 sec
6. EcoFreak 2.89 sec
7. Yannis 2.94 sec
8. Raskol 3.02 sec

From the outside, these racers are the personification of calm power. Steadily, they steer their car to the starting line, while inside their hearts are pouncing away. Last hints from their team captain, a final glance to their enemy, a small thumbs up to their teammates. Team KonCrite looks in a good shape, could they make a double in the race and push BeaverJuice away from the first spot in the standings? Or will Beaver resist the pressure? Green lights, we’ll discover soon! A fluent start here, nothing remarkable to announce, only Raskol seems to have some trouble to find the good pace right away. A minor mistake by leader Konrad in the second lap, but his teammate Critically keeps him in the good lane, no harm there for Team KonCrite.
But just when you think those two buddies have it all worked out, we see a terrible turn by Critically, he hardly manages to stay inside the track! Both BeaverJuice and Cotarius make use of this opportunity and pass by their enemy in the inside lane, bad luck for the Crit, good points for the Cotaris de PieterJuice-formation. Less luck for the RaskFreak duo. EcoFreak makes a slight mistake on one of the dunes and sees Yannis going past him. Lap four and Yannis decides to throw her cards on the table. She closes a four second gap and moves swiftly past a surprised Pieter into fifth position. The result of this move can be seen in the intermediate standings:

1. Konrad
2. BeaverJuice 5.2 sec
3. Cotarius 5.2 sec
4. Critically 5.9 sec
5. Yannis 7.6 sec
6. Pieter 11.7 sec
7. EcoFreak 11.8 sec
8. Raskol 13.1 sec

Pieter seems to be not riding at one hundred per cent today… Going into the first turn of the fifth lap, EcoFreak pushes it full throttle and Pieter has no response against this brilliant move. But the event of the race happens in the front, behind the authoritarian leader Konrad. Critically dares an attack on the duo that’s riding in front of him. He speeds up on through the desert, throws it top gear and manoeuvres his car in between those from BeaverJuice and Cotarius. Both see the danger of the attacking enemy and decide to squeeze him like a pickle in a sandy sandwich. Critically has no way to go, a turn is coming up at the horizon, he lacks the speed to pass them and sees no other solution to take out his enemy, BeaverJuice. With a daring twist of the steering wheel, he bumps his car into Beaver’s and it is Cotarius who can make advantage of the situation. In the meantime, the Crit manages to push back his slower opponent.
No good points for Crit, but he knows his imminent speed will help him out and when Cotarius makes a slight mistake, he can get back in second position. BeaverJuice, on the other hand appears to have some trouble to get his vehicle under control again. Luckily for him, his teammate Yannis gives him a little push in the back when he seemed to slow down and the Beaver can redirect his focus to the opponents in front of him.
The havoc is not over yet in the leading bunch. Cotarius has saved up his attacks so far and decides to throw his ace of spades on the table. He moves past Critically, pushing him off the course which gives Beaver the opportunity to move into third position. But Beaver wants more and goes in attack, scooping past Cotarius. The spectators are loving this! Behind this trio of mayhem, we see an attack from Pieter who desperately attempts to make something out of this race, he moves past Yannis but it seems that the others are too far away to move up further then the fifth spot. This means:

1. Konrad
2. BeaverJuice 10.5 sec
3. Cotarius 10.9 sec
4. Critically 11.3 sec
5. Pieter 17.4 sec
6. Yannis 19.3 sec
7. EcoFreak 20.2 sec
8. Raskol 23.1 sec

Lap eight will be known as the lap of the useless attacks. Pieter and Konrad as well as BeaverJuice try to speed up but have to realise that there is no opponent to be seen at the vanishing point, therefor they don’t win a position. More luck for team RaskFreak. Both manage to perform an excellent attack on Yannis and our only female competitor falls back in the leader board.
In the back of the race, we see another attempt by the RaskFreakteam to take some more points. Pieter is the next victim! First we see a very well executed attack by EcoFreak, afterwards we have another try by Raskol. He manages to pass Pieter by, but due to the latter inherent speed, Raskol will lose that position again in the final hectometres of the race.
In the front of the back, it is time for the final attacks. Cotarius gives it one last try and passes by Critically. The counterattack by the Crit is no use, no attack from this man will tame Cotarius today, a Cotarius who is riding next to BeaverJuice at this very moment. And there it comes, the final bits of this race. Cotarius is on the left side, BeaverJuice is in the middle and both are giving all they gave to place their car in front of the other one. But there is Critically once more! He moves next to Beaver in the hope they catch two birds with one stone. The crowd is ecstatic as these three are moving towards the line. Beaver glances to his left side and glances to his right side. Three words are crossing his mind. Not. My. Enemy. He moves right and closes Critically up between the sideboard and his car, which gives Cotarius the opportunity to catch a well-deserved second position. The suspense really was in the tail today! While Beaver and Critically exchange not-so-nice words with each other, the mass is celebrating the real victor of the day. For the second time in a row, Konrad dominated the field and left no doubt about who was the best. Lap by lap, he widened the gap and the others had no response. This means El Lanza is also moving into second position in the championship!

eBeRacers - Page 2 3951410-3x4-340x453
Nothing to do against this man today!

1. Konrad
2. Cotarius 15.3 sec
3. BeaverJuice 15.3 sec
4. Critically 15.3 sec
5. EcoFreak 24.1 sec
6. Pieter 28.2 sec
7. Raskol 28.3 sec
8. Yannis 34.2 sec

eBeRacersChampionship

1. BeaverJuice 32
2. Konrad 29
3. Critically 27
4. EcoFreak 21
5. Raskol 17
6. Pieter 14
7. Cotarius 13
8. Yannis 11

Director’s comment: “Well, no doubt about the winner today. Konrad simply had the better car and there was nothing the opponents could do about that. Interesting to see how the teamwork against Critically worked out for Cotarius and BeaverJuice, but I’m sure they would have been a lot safer if they had been each others teammates as well. Good teaming up by the RaskFreak team there, who made the most out of a difficult situation (bad cars). Next race is bringing us to the heart of China for what might seem a grassy race. That might seem as an open door for Konrad to make a three out of three but there are plenty of other elements that will twist the balance. As far as I see it, I can name at least three other riders who have a big chance over there!”

This race starts with a special announcement by the director! “Dear racers. Due to the fact that the price of building up such great tracks around the world quite exceeds the budget and that we don’t want to cut on the quality, we will have to tell you that the amount of races is lowered to thirteen. Do not worry, we have not taken away the exciting courses of Sweden, Morocco, Russia, USA, Japan, Romania and Canada. More importantly, we can already say that the season will end with an extremely satisfying race throughout Belgium, already nicknamed "The Ostends-Spa Classic"!”
Well, spank my ass and call me MissPiggy. Either way, our plane has landed today in China, where we were met by a gigantic crowd. We must say it was our third plane of the day, after we landed in Beijing, we moved into the country and reached the river banks of the Ordos for what certainly will be a close race. The many Chinese around here have created quite a fast track with a minimum of race track, but a lot of sandy roads and grass. Although, we must say that some of that grass has drowned in the mud already due to the rain… Something our riders definitely witnessed during the qualifications.

A demanding track, but this hand doesn’t fit every glove. Or the other way around. Anyhow, we witness a very quick time by Pieter, who saw himself falling behind in the leaderboard and must try a comeback! It’s up to the others to make a difference now… EcoFreak gives it a shot, just like Pieter he has that spicy combination of acceleration in the long straight lines and power to slice the muddy parts. Although our green boy loses some time on the grass, he comes close in the final asphalt lane but he cannot crack the time. Only Critically, who does not dislike the grass-sandy road combination, has a chance on pole position, but despite his final effort, he only grabs third place.

1. Pieter
2. EcoFreak 0.11 sec
3. Critically 0.28 sec
4. BeaverJuice 0.96 sec
5. Konrad 0.96 sec
6. Raskol 1.21 sec
7. Yannis 1.90 sec
8. Cotarius 2.46 sec

On to the races then, where we see a very bad start by Raskol. The moment he turns onto the grass, he makes a slip which gives Yannis the opportunity to move up. She even gives a small bump into Raskols car, so her teammate Cotarius can pass by as well. On the other side of the pack, we see a tremendous attack by BeaverJuice. He closes the gap on Critically, who sees his enemy in his leftwing mirror. “No way, José,” he explores the Spanish language, “not you.” Critically slides into the left, leaving no room for BeaverJuice. The Beaver doesn’t let that happen and pushes the back from The Crit’s car, so both fall back in time. Critically is quicker on the race track so he can take some advantage up to lap two, but Beaver tries another attack! Two in two laps, a remarkable tactic by the leader in the eBeSeries. The scenario repeats itself, but on a different corner: BeaverJuice goes full throttle in the mud, Critically closes the door and a visibly frustrated BeaverJuice decides to attack his enemies rear, without much result.
The bickering of this remarkable duo takes the attention away from the amount of mistakes in this lap. We see Konrad losing control on the race track, but that is not a problem as he can overtake Yannis after a slight loss of control by her. Same event in the front, where EcoFreak doesn’t find the good lane in the mud, but can take back his position when Critically hits the brakes to fast before a chicane.
When the dust disappears, we see that the positions are quite fixed. Only BeaverJuice surprises us with a minor mistake, it gives the opportunity for Konrad to win fourth place and to bring the KonCrit team ready for action. An action that doesn’t ignite in lap four, where the Yannis-Cotarius-tandem decides to give it a go. Both their cars are looking forward to the next race, but in the meanwhile they try to annoy archenemy Raskol as much as possible. An attack by Yannis on The Malicious fails but it makes the gap between both very close. Then it is up to Cotarius, who hides in Yannis’ slipstream, builds up speed and dashes out through the mud. Yannis left the door wide open for him, so he can boast his car next to Raskols, push him away a little and grab two spots in once. But will Yannis and Cotarius be able to hold back the Cat, who is quite a lot faster here in China?

1. Pieter
2. EcoFreak 0.6 sec
3. Critically 2.6 sec
4. Konrad 3.8 sec
5. BeaverJuice 4.8 sec
6. Cotarius 6.1 sec
7. Yannis 6.9 sec
8. Raskol 7.2 sec

We are halfway now and the so far silent KonCrit team decides it is time to shine… They were able to hold back their nemesis BeaverJuice and now they decide to take on the rider in front. EcoFreak is the name of their victim… He knows the danger is coming from his rear and Eco does all kinds of tricks to keep the pressure off. Short turns, great acceleration and tight brakes, that’s his recipe. But he only has eyes for Critically, who manages to distract him so Konrad can start an attack. While Crit holds EcoFreak on the inside lane of a long turn, Konrad goes full throttle on the left side and reaches second position.
Eco is fighting against incredible odds here, giving all he has. Whilst chasing Konrad for a revenge, he gets busted by Critically, who moves up on the leader board. We’re already racing in lap six and if we look to the back of the back, we notice that Raskols superior speed made him win back two positions. But the suffering of the Malicious ain’t over for today. Once again, Yannis pushes him away. The manoeuvre he makes to stop her, gives Cotarius the opportunity to grab the sixth place. Yannis and Cotarius might not make a lot of points out of this race, they surely bugged the hell out of Raskol who had to face a more numerous side. Moving past Yannis ain’t that difficult, he is the faster rider. But he gets to nervous. Instead of waiting until the slower Cotarius breaks under the pressure, Raskol wants to attack at once. A big mistake against the thrillingly calm Cotarius, who gives no room to his enemy.
Behind the back of a reigning Pieter, we see how EcoFreak does not give up. Critically is his first victim, nice move by Eco. Konrad decides to dare his luck. Despite not having the best car today by far, he plays all or nothing on the grass and closes up to Pieter. But the leader of the race kickbans Konrads attack and even takes the time to widen the gap.

1. Pieter
2. Konrad 3.5 sec
3. EcoFreak 4.1 sec
4. Critically 4.2 sec
5. BeaverJuice 8.7 sec
6. Cotarius 12.7 sec
7. Raskol 12.8 sec
8. Yannis 13.5 sec

Three more laps, all will be decided now! Konrad realises he lacks the speed today and sees his opponents move past him. Pieter goes for a second attack, not a lot of use when you’re in the front already but it widens the gap to more than five seconds. This causes the attack of Eco to fail, he gives all he has but it is of no use. It even gets worse for EcoFreak. Critically still has a last trick up his sleeve and moves past a disappointed Eco. Not all is sadness for team RaskoFreak. Raskol already skipped past Cotarius and just in time he even dares an attack on BeaverJuice. Beaver is not having his race and loses another position.
After these events, the race is driven. Pieter makes a small mistake then he hits the curbs to fast, but he has to fear no one anymore. Quite a surprising victory, maybe, but Pieter stayed very calm, chose the right enemy for the only real attack on him and managed to stay away from the bickering behind him. Due to that, he could gradually build up his advantage and win. Second place for Critically, who managed to surprise Eco in the end of the race, just like in France. Eco battled very hard against team KonCrite, showed himself a very worthy opponent, but must be happy with only a third place.

eBeRacers - Page 2 D12esp2933
Happy Pieter is happy, Critically starts to count the points and realises something while Eco is tired but knows he showed his capabilities today.

1. Pieter
2. Critically 6.2 sec
3. EcoFreak 6.4 sec
4. Konrad 7.9 sec
5. Raskol 12.7 sec
6. BeaverJuice 17.1 sec
7. Yannis 20.1 sec
8. Cotarius 20.9 sec

eBeRacersChampionship

1. Critically 36
2. BeaverJuice 35
3. Konrad 34
4. EcoFreak 28
5. Pieter 26
6. Raskol 21
7. Cotarius 14
8. Yannis 13

Directors commentary: “An authoritarian victory by Pieter, who was quite lucky with the timing of his second attack. It’s a pity for EcoFreak who certainly deserved to win a race after standing up against Team KonCrite like that. Bad day for Beaver who was blocked off well by the KonCrite team but might as well not be satisfied with his tactic, reviewing this race. This results in a first position for Critically in the championship, it all adds up for that boy. Good tactics, good teammate and a pinch of luck… Is the girl we saw in the pitlane to cause of all that? I certainly hope she’ll wear something warmer for our next episode, cause the Sweden race will bring out the snow devils of this pack. It will give a nice opportunity for victory for some racers who had some tough days lately while the battle for the championship continues.”

TACTICS ASAP --- RACE PROBABLY MONDAY!
