Country President Elections August
Well, usually today the election race should start but when I scrolled through the eBelgian news I saw only 1 article of a candidate.
What's going on, is no one really willing to start the race, to write articles convincing the people whom to vote for ?
At least a brief statement when an article about the election will be released would be already good. (In case the candidates have only limited time)
But compared to the other times, these elections will be very calm, as there had been far more discussions going on during the last elections then this month.
"As everyone is off due to holidays, there is no need for articles" or what ?

I will be publishing a group interview on day 2083. I have answers to my questions already from 2 of the candidates.

Someone told me that JdlF is already elected.
No need for him to make a presentation.

Re: Country President Elections August
I am actually wondering what ChristianXD will do...
Some candidates prefer to keep there campaigning for just before the election starts.

Re: Country President Elections August
Wait, I have three articles out already
Its upon the voters to reward the effort one makes to be CP which includes writing articles. The reason you don't see a lot of them is because the two major parties select their candidate, and it becomes inevitable so that person writes one vague article and we move on. I don't like that.
JdIF's already been elected? Who said that?

[Kylero for CP] Closing Arguments: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-closing-arguments-2301270/1/20
My other articles:
My priorities
Leadership
My Team
Qualifications and Plans
A Comprehensive Plan for eBelgium
My fellow eBelgians,
Here's my final article. You can review my previous articles to see my platform, what I prioritize, and who I am bringing with me to Brussels to serve the eBelgian people! I want to stress, I will be EVERYONE'S CP, and will work to integrate all who want to be part of the community, and those who make the effort for the good of the nation.
So its time to make a choice. There are four possible candidates to choose from this month. Let me be your choice!
ChristijanXD is running this month. I don't know him to well, and he isn't doing a good job at communicating his vision for the nation. I don't think he's a good choice, but to each their own.
You can elect Dan/nad Wilshire to be President. Dan sees situations much like I do. He wants to help change the entitlement culture in eBelgium. I think he will make a good CP in the very near future, that's why I have selected him to be by vCP. At this time, I'm not sure Dan has the presence and time to be a devoted CP. But I like him!
JdlF is a committed eBelgian. He's served his nation as a MoF a few times. I like JdlF, and don't have anything personally against him. My concern however, is his activity, why he wants to be CP, and his overall outlook on key things. JdlF has only 248 forum posts, and most of these posts are Citizen Pack requests. In his own admission, he's very quiet and passive. I don't think that's a quality that we need for our leader at this time. We need someone bold and daring, ready to take on challenges with full force.
JdlF stated in this interview when responding to a question as to why he's running, "The main reason [that I'm running] is that I’m fully available in august and that’s not the case of everyone. Moreover it’s been time I wanted to get to that post. Let say, the willingness to write my name in the eBelgium history." I interpret this to mean that he just wants to get the medal and have his name in the history books. I fear that there is some type of entitlement claim here, and that we are really doing a disservice to good candidates if we elect someone who self-admittedly is inactive on the forum and the IRC, has VERY general plans, doesn't think the possibility of running out of money is factual, and just wants to be CP because he wants to be in the history books as being CP.
Then there's me! I have played eRepublik since July 2009, and am one of the last remaining "new" eBelgians after we received independence in January 2010. So I've seen a lot, done a lot, knew/know a lot of great people, and feel more than equipped to meet the challenges that may come our way with an open mind and a zest for unity!
I have no trouble working with people who disagree with me, as long as we stay on task with one common goal in mind, a better eBelgium! I don't think anyone can question my commitment to eBelgium. Am I on IRC all the time? No. Am I the "establishment candidate"? No. Am I the right candidate for eBelgium right now? Yes, yes I am.
Serving eBelgium as CP has been the biggest dream of mine for over three years now. I don't see any reason, considering my opposition, why this wouldn't be the best opportunity for me to live my dream. So I ask you, as a voter and a rational eBeing, vote for me, and let's work together and keep eBelgium THE BEST LAST GREAT PLACE IN THE NEW WORLD!
Thank you, and happy voting!

Congrats not only to the winner but to each of you who made an effort to put your views out there and to reach out to the citizens. This is one of the best campaigns in my memory. Without any disrespect to JdlF, I think the results should have been a lot closer. Congrats, also, for the signs I have seen that you will work together for eBelgium. That is what I call true patriotism.
