Belgian Time & Erep Time
Yes, this can be a very stupid question, but is really important to me. What's the belgian time zone? and what's the difference between your timezone and ERT (Erepublik time, they used UTC -8H I think)? I ask this because, as some of you may know, I'm from Venezuela (UTC -4:30), and if I ever wish to meet with you (let's say, in a military operation or something), well... I would need to know the time difference
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Belgian Time & Erep Time
Brussels is at GMT+1, but it has DST
SO while it is in RL Belgium now 7h23, it is 22h23 in eRep
DST is however not always (de)-activated on the same moment ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DST ), so be vigilant around the switch.
Since eBe is full with not RL Belgians, meetings and actions (for example IRC meetings to fight together with the military) are sometimes announced in eRep time, instead of Brussels Time. If this isn't the case, just slap the person giving you the information and ask 'what is that in eRep time ? '

Re: Belgian Time & Erep Time
Indeed, it is not always easy to determine what time people are talking about. eRep time is indeed 9 hours behind Belgian time. You have the added disadvantage of being half an hour off from the majority of other time zones. But, as NLSP says, we have a variety of time zones in eBe. I am at GMT -5. We have a couple of people at GMT +2. The good news is, you do get used to figuring the difference in whatever you do, and you are also available at times many eBelgians are not for things like fighting and tactical voting.

It's not like that just in Belgium, you know. I am from Macedonia, but also in a GMT +1 (Central European Time - CET) zone, and we also have DST.

Re: Belgian Time & Erep Time
Yeap, the dates are the same - last Sunday of March is activated, and last Sunday of October - deactivated.NLSP wrote:but does Macedonia (de-)activates DST on the same moment as Belgium ?El1teBE wrote:It's not like that just in Belgium, you know. :PI am from Macedonia, but also in a GMT +1 (Central European Time - CET) zone, and we also have DST.
