Creation of a congress irc room

I can easily make a irc room and was wondering what people thought of making a channel for congress? It could be used to discuss different laws etc etc and could come in useful for contacting congress members. If i create the room i could hand over ownership to the winner of the CP election on the 5th and they can reassign the owner to a person of there choosing or remain the owner depending on there preference. This would be a private channel with only congressmen, Ministers, VP and CP would have access too.

It's easy to make and it's always there if it needed to be used

hmm in my opinion
all congress members need to be able to participate in an official debate.

With congress members worldwide. This seems a hard thing to do with a chat.

it's not used primarily for debate but if 2 people are arguing over a piece of legislation then it is much quicker than the forums.

Agree that a congress channel is not necessary.
If you need somewhere to talk private you can make a temporary channel or talk private on irc.
How many of the congress people even come on irc anyway?
