a dictatorship don't stay a lot in this game, because, everyone knows if this fact is realised, the congress can empeach the president.

Now, some plans are possible to empeach a congress to have a majority.
We need only a lot of members in politics.
Example : if a party lost his pp, it's easy to make another party, and put it in the top 5 Smile

add dictatorship : there are all ready in this game, but they don't stay a lot of time.

They can perhaps add revolutionary civil wars to change the ones in power and the system. You can then have a war for a monarchy and if you support this you can join the side of the revolt. If not you can join the side who wants the keep the current governmental state. Would be kind of funny I think.

I was talking to Polish and Huns. Once it became clear to me and everyone you didn't had the balls to invade eUK and where steering towards ending a war that would have been glorious for eBE, myself and some others made contacts with Huns and Poles to convince them to fight for eBE and give us a fighting chance at taking over London.

Just because you where too chicken to invade them, doesn't mean others tried to do it behind your back.

(for me it's = i was part of the government delegation who negociated the mpp's and the defensive plan of eBE)

I didn't get the balls to invade eUK but i get 3 NWO presidents to propose eBelgium a mpp less than 3,4 hours after the UK NE BE proposal... If we didn't attacked London, it's not because of eBE, like we had a word to say in this war... Our MPP's did all the work for us, and the game mechanics did all the work for me : winning initiative, waiting 24h, auto-attack,... It's not like we had a choice or not to invade them :-x And for the support of NWO, we can see you have been quite successfull... A war which could have been glorious for eBE ? If NWO didn't wanted to support us, which was the case, peace was the better solution...

And we still have our mpp's, and our NE proposal will be available in few days : why not presenting to the Congress a good plan of invasion of UK (with wiping them or not) ? It could be debated and voted on...

They agreed to defend eBE, but you should have put more pressure on them to get their help in attacking as well.

And you are right, our actions wheren't as successful as hoped. The polish and huns didn't agreed to go in the offensive. But at least we gave it a decent try.

invading them now would be downright stupid, they have their Serbia MPP and we would look like the bad guys. We had the momentum at the time of the SEoE attack. Now the momentum and the window of attack is closed, it's stupid to start the war again. Plus, no one would support it.

On topic: eUK hasn't invaded Ireland because Terra gave them a "nono" (eIRE is EDEN and Terra really can't afford to lose an ally in the war against ONE) and because they are PTO'ing them anyway. what they will do now is wait till they have a 66% majority and then let eIreland NE eUK, which would provide them with a valid excuse to invade them.

the thing with public polls on this forum is, is that every time you hold an important one, activity spikes suddenly rise up and ppl who have never said on a word on the forum suddenly tend to cast a vote.

If you do a poll, do it properly. You cast your vote by publicly saying it (the congress vote system) and you do it in a part of the forum where only ppl with a citizens mask have access.

That is a very valid question and I will attempt to answer it to the best of my abilities.

I believe that trying to make a community prosper in neutrality, in a game fueled by war, as you stated that eR is, is like trying to grow life in stagnant water. I am guessing that this raises the question, how is a "defensive" alliance any better. In many ways, it is about the same. We will sit around and wait for an attack... Now here is the part where you and myself think differently. I believe that, somewhere along the line, there will be a defensive nation that is willing to actually defend. Hopefully, Luna will be this nation.

The next issue is the fact that this is a rag-tag bunch of countries, no offense to any country, really, but none of them are known for their military prowness. However, why can we not merge our ideals (my alliance system and your "Let's be friendly with bigger nations/alliances" ie ONE) into a sort of international alliance? You see, Israel will be my example. In game, in a time when PEACE and EDEN were fighting, Israel was in Sol, if my history is correct, and Sol was sort of seen as "Little EDEN"... No one ever used that exact phrase to my knowledge but everyone knows it was pretty much true. In a time when Israel was attacked, America (and a few other EDEN countries) came to her aid (am I right so far?). Thus, at least providing some sort of merit to my point here. We can join Luna, benefit in an alliance system, as well as hold tight relationships with ONE, Terra, EDEN, whoever Belgium wants. I deem this an... Inter-alliance system of protection.

Next point, overall activity and fun. I'll be honest, this forum, this community, is fun. Period. However, it could increase its activity, maybe not specifically this forum but the community in general, by joining an alliance and we would not need worry about a PTO from India, Phillipines, South Africa, etc. You might disagree but I don't see the South Africans coming this far north just to take over Waffe Central =\.

Ummm... What else... I admit, I like the idea of an alliance just "for the hell-of-it". The idea of being able to claim some group or centralized organization is just in my blood. However, I believe it is also possibly benefitial for eBelgium and I do not see it harming her. I acknowledge that entangling alliances are an issue, but what gain can we have without that risk?
