I'm new to the game. I speak flemish, english and a little bit of french.
This game looks kind of cool. What about the elections? Could somebody give me a quick update?
Why doesn't everybody vote for the party who wants the best things?

In answer to your question, in the game, as IRL, people usually do vote for the ones they believe want the best things. It's just that not everyone agrees on what the best things are.
