The Real Right Side of eBelgium Empty The Real Right Side of eBelgium

Post by Velitia 2010-07-27, 04:01

Since one of my congressional colleagues has misrepresented what the right side really is, I will show you in the form of a quoted paragraph.

The right side:

"A free market is a market without economic intervention and regulation by government except to enforce ownership ("property rights") and contracts. It is the opposite of a controlled market, where the government regulates how the means of production, goods, services and labor are used, priced, or distributed. This is the contemporary use of the term "free market" by economists and in popular culture; the term has had other uses historically." - Wikipedia (don't tell me that paragraph is false)

Currently eBelgium is in a mix that is mostly free market as government intervention such as subsidiaries, raw materials, and other things do/will apply.

OK a free market what is currently the case.
No gun, moving tickets, housing companies are running.
Why? Because of the free market.
We have no raws and think we can make useful deals with foreign raw companies.

Please people dream on...

Actually, to be fair, I have had work in moving tickets for the last several days, presumably because of the deals with foreign oil companies. V2 did put a lot of people out of work, but this industry at least seems to be finding its feet again.

Don't be dishonest.
We have raws:
Stone = .08 BEF
Oil = .06 BEF
Grain = .05 BEF
Titanium = .09 BEF
Iron = .05 BEF

What we don't have is a market for finished goods. Inventorys are growing and nobody is buying most of the things produced.

Somehow I can't help the feeling that you are refering to my topic "the right side of eBelgium".

First of all, right or left has nothing to do with being libertarian or being a socialist or even a communist.

History lesson - right regimes (some extreme cases otherwise it wouldn't be clear)
- Fascist Italy (1922 -1943)
- Nazi Germany (1933 - 1945) (for those that don't know Nazi = NSDAP = Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei = National Social German Labour Party = extreme right sided socialists as you wish...)

However both being right, it's quit arguibly that they were in fact not so libertarian...

I knew somebody was going to bring that up, while wikipedia will lack in lots of things that definition is a correct definition for a free-market.

Free-market yes...
But being right or left does not end at free market!

If I may:

Wiki will explain Razz

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-wing_politics

"In politics, right-wing, rightist and the Right are generally used to describe support for social stratification with the preservation of traditional social orders and values.[1][2][3][4][5] The terms Right and Left were coined during the French Revolution, referring to seating arrangements in parliament; those who sat on the right supported preserving the institutions of the Ancien Régime (the monarchy, the aristocracy and the established church).[6][7][8][9]

Use of the term "Right" became more prominent after the second restoration of the French monarchy in 1815 with the Ultra-royalists. [10] Today it is primarily used to refer to political groups that have a historical connection with the traditional Right, including conservatives, reactionaries, monarchists, aristocrats and theocrats. The term is also used to describe those who support free market capitalism, and those who support some forms of nationalism."

Who is dishonest?
Two days ago iron was still .20 BEF and all the others (except for grain thanks to our OWN industry) was above .10

I guess my complaining has had its effect!

BTW those prizes are still much to high...

And two (now three) days ago, we did not have an agreement with an iron-producing country. Now we do and prices dropped. These prices are equal (in gold) to what these comapnies would sell in their own country. We can't ask anybody to sell at a loss.

This was in the works since I became President and would have been implemented whether you had complained or not.
