Forum Games Removal
Hey, I was going to post this in the director's area, but I decided to make it public instead to make sure you're all ok with it.
Before I go any further, don't worry, I'm not going to remove the entire forum games section just the following 2 threads:
https://ebelgium.forumotion.net/forum-games-f20/final-countdown-t645.htm
https://ebelgium.forumotion.net/forum-games-f20/forum-battle-t1526.htm
They have both been locked and between them, contain over 1800 posts that don't contain anything usefull.
I'm therefore going to delete them as long as there are no objections (aside from people who don't want to loose their post count)
Feel free to add your comments.
EDIT:
Also, I plan to occasionally remove sections from the forum games threads when they get too big. Lets face it, as long as we know the score or whatever, do we really need hundreds of posts of numbers?

Can't you make an Archive and put, all the closed topics and topics where nobody react on anymore, in? So everybody holds his/her posts.

Re: Forum Games Removal
Glenn, unfortunatly, we can't remove post counts from the forum games section (believe me I've tried) so this is the only way to make forum games not impact your post count.
Also, Critically, the reduction of peoples post counts is kinda the point. When people first arrive on forums, they tend to judge how high up in the comunity people are by their post count (hence that's what the ranks are based on). Having people in the top 20 posters when the majority on their posts are probably just numbers (not mentioning any names) ruins that.

Fully behind you. If people are really that concerned with their post count, they should post some useful comments in useful topics in future

I'm not going to read all things posted here, but I PROTEST!!
1. Make those posts count as offtopic, and thus not counting for postcount
2. make a non- OT mask that people can ask if they don't want to see that
3. Let us play! Fora without fun is like not my thing.

Re: Forum Games Removal
Replying to various posts here and I can't be arsed to make quotes, but some points I would like to make.
1. Any spam outside Random or Forum Games will be deleted or moved.
2. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO MAKE FORUM GAMES NOT EFFECT YOUR POST COUNT. I have tried to do this many times and it is not possiable in forumotion.
3. This is not going to effect your ability to play forum games in any way. We are only going to remove posts that were made a long time ago and have no more relevence to the game. As long as it doesn't break the forum rules, you can play as many games as you f**king well like.
4. As of yesturday, posts in forum games will no longer increace your points count. This can be used as a way to work out how many of someone's posts were acually useful.

Let's just delete the whole forum games section. They only serve to increase post count anyways.
