Grain market
Is there still someone buying grain at the moment or am I the only one who isn't selling anything?

Re: Grain market
you are the only one that is selling since you have put it at 0.08
0.09 gives you (very) small amounts of sold grain on a irregular base

Re: Grain market
I had to. I hadn't sold any grain for a week. I couldn't pay the wages of my workers anymore.
It was doing this or shutting down.

Re: Grain market
Well, someone is watching. I put up an offer at a lower price to move over to my food company, then had an internet disconnection and a phone call, and it was gone when I got back a few minutes later.

Re: Grain market
I sometimes have that problem too, Maryam. I sell my grain for 0.01 to buy for my food company, and sometimes I am not quick enough to get it. It is easier here than it was in the USA, though. So many company owners over there, I never could transfer my raw materials cheaply without them vanishing.

Re: Grain market
Never got this problem here .
Anyway this is not the problem.
If you look at the iron price, it's lower than the grain price. Sometimes u can find iron for 0.06 BEF.

Our monetary exchange rate in relation to gold is one of the strongest in the New World, though.

Doesnt matter, if our products doesnt get sold, our people dont receive job offers anymore, it's just a matter of time before companies run out of money and then the job market will be flooded with workless people

Re: Grain market
If I'm not selling better by the end of the week I'm thinking of turning my factory into a ghost company. Only working there myself untill the admin change the economy and it's working again.

When my money runs out, I do the same
I buy myself another grain company and start creating food for just myself, I already got a nice stack to survive two weeks with
And I'm working in France right now, so I can rebuild my stock of Q5 tanks

Re: Grain market
I will open myself a food company and produce for myself and probably selling from time to time to get a little bit of money back. Once again it's all the admins fault.

I advice you to upgrade it to Q2, else you will have a lot to transfer food, Q5 would be the best but even to upgrade to Q3 is too expensive

I don't have the money for that at the moment. But that was indeed my plan.

Re: Grain market
I want to do that, but first I have to get rid of my stock of 3000 breads that I have to sell for more than 70 cents (netto) to make a profitGlenn Wauters wrote:Bert_en_Ernie wrote:I will open myself a food company and produce for myself and probably selling from time to time to get a little bit of money back. Re: Grain market
I doubt you will get rid of it. You will either have to hold on to it and wait for better times or sell it with a loss.

Re: Grain market
If only we could lower the wages offered to even the lowest skill employees. It is obscene how much they are paid. Makes hiring anyone impossible, especially as low as prices currently are.

But they are also our future.
We can't scared them.
We need to be open, to give them help, etc.
No?
Of course, it's an important invest in our future!
And invest have a cost!

The minimum wage has to be lowered
Idd, they are important but we also need to look after the survival of our companies
Lowering the wages is a logic solution
Lower prices => Lower wages
Higher prices => higher wages

I understand the logic on this.
But we need to be really carefull!
Each new players that STAY is a new producer, a new consumer, a new politic, a new warior, etc.

Doesnt matter, new players dont know anything about the game so they also dont know if they are amking a lot of money or not in this game
Also newbies quit the game because it is impossible to catch up with older players unless they buy gold, something a new player will never do
Strengh system is completely not logic, you gain the same amount of strength, the distance between you and older players remains the same

Re: Grain market
I agree with lowering the minimum wage. That will make our commune system more efficient :p and people can actualy hire more people without losing to much on them vs the new manager work function.

Re: Grain market
We should still take care that the consumption power of the begginer is not too low.
If they can't even afford to buy enough bread to remain alive, they won't last long.
But with the current price it shouldn't be a problem imo.
PS: You were all young and u're still here
