Grain Crisis
In a matter of time there will be no grain left to buy on the eBelgian market. Food prices will rise drastically...
Something must happen CP and members of congress!

Re: Grain Crisis
Idd, only one foreign grain producer keeps the market really alive
Belgium needs a foreign high region grain company, the medium region here doesnt give enough grain to support our food companies
But I think our food companies deliver at a good price between 0.195-0.2/health point atm
Only grain we need, but its risky, if the admins continue their insane plan it would be a useless investment

Re: Grain Crisis
3 grain = 1 health point
So if every play would consume 5 health a day that makes 15 grains.
I don't know how big the belgian market is. But my company alone produces for about 1000-1500 grains/ day

Who is in charge of State Companies this month?
There is almost no Oil nor Grain on the market, and almost no RM below 0.05 BEF.

Re: Grain Crisis
I have reactived the Grain company and am selling grain at 0.05 BEF. Will lower the price if and when the market reacts (to ensure a smooth transition to the new situation instead of creating a shock effect on our grain market.)
EDIT: Will continue to look at it as soon as eRep is back online (incl. creating better job offers to attract workers; although wages in Austria are pretty high )

Re: Grain Crisis
Lower Austria has been conquered by Italy. If we keep the company operational, we'd be paying the Income Taxes to Italy, an enemy of ONE. Do we want this?
@ Glenn Wauters: I'm only putting up at 0.05 to give other grain companies the time to adjust. I'm more in favour of a combined effort of governmental and private companies, that a government monopoly... as soon as the opportunity arises, I'll lower to 0.04 and maybe even 0.03 later on. eBe Grain doesn't produce enough to be the sole distributor of grain, so an offer of 0.03 BEF would be sold within seconds and only benefit the food company owner that is coincidentally online at that moment.

Re: Grain Crisis
It clear that food companies (including me) overreact as well.
grain prices increase with 1 or 2 cents/ piece, and food prices almost doubled...
if putted my Q2 food up the market for 1BEF

Re: Grain Crisis
Well, you say it yourself
Grain price doubles, food prices also
0.03 used to be it, now its 0.05 (almost the double)
Costs for a Q2 grain company to create one bread (only the grain)
0.03 = 0.36
0.04 = 0.48
0.05 = 0.6

Russia is losing battles and regions, Pakistan is gaining them.
Russia just wants to survive and thus avoid battles, Pakistan wants to grow and is looking for daily battles.

Re: Grain Crisis
Lower Austria has become Italian. The current wage for an Italian skill 1 player is 9.31 ITL (0.158 G). This equals a stunning 8.33 BEF (!). To compare: the current wage for a skill 1 employee in eBelgium is 1.50 BEF.
Yes, I can keep eBe Grain running. However, this would be very short-term minded. It would cost the state a lot of money, we would need to sell below cost price, and it wouldn't really SOLVE the problem (only temporary fight the symptoms).
If the raws prices rise, foreign companies or local entrepreneurs will be more likely to buy a grain company and/or an export license to eBelgium. That would make for a harder time on short-term, but it would solve the problem on the long term, as prices of grain will drop and more grain will be available.
On a personal note: I hope we can hold on together. I know what you - as food company owner - are going through. I own a food company in eNL and the price of raws have also tripled there (and they have a HIGH region!). Please hold on, until entrepreneurs see the possibilities in the grain sector, and open more companies there.

Lolz. We have a very small community, and thus are not interesting as buisness region. I say we raise the minimum wage, re-indexate it, sort of

Guys, let's face it: in terms of prices of food, there is an offer on the eBelgium market in the top 50 of best offers world wide.
We're on place 17 regarding grain prices, beating countries with a high region like France and USA.
We're cheap, actually... It's really our wages that suck

It's because of our wages that we make it so high
If our wages are getting higher (like it is happening now) our food prices will get higher (like it is happening now)

Im wondering what place i had when I was selling at 0.8BEF :p

Prices are at 0.06 BEF.
At the moment, that places us at spot 6 (!!) of world-wide offers, while we have no high region.
As soon as the situation changes structurally, we will look at the proposal again and have it voted in Congress.

Lol
How is your business going?
I cant get my hands on 10 workers for my Grain company, very hard cause when I check back one minute later someone already went over my offer or posted an offer only a stupid idiot would put on
Right now there are offers on the Dutch market wich are insane, nobody could make profit out of the thing they have to pay
Time to start for me to go on The Netherlands forum and promise to give some food every day (or 7/week) so they will be attracted by my proposal and work in my company :p
How is New Zeeland?

New Zealand is a little gold mine
They are happy with 2.05 NZD (guru lvl9). So I can sell the grain on 0.06. But normally I the price is 0.07.
