Dear fellow citizens,

It's time for this active Congress member to campaign again for re-election.

What did we do last term?

- Congress lowered the minimum wage to enable a smoother functioning of the Army communes. This was before the latest changes which enticed the BAF to move the Army communes to Poland in order to further increase supplies. Market wages, as offered by Bever Dams, are now at 100 BEF net anyway.
- We kept on discussing the options for maximally supporting newer citizens through the New Citizens Program and the Belgian Training Academy. A consensus on a broader budget could be found soon.
- We consolidated the party gold in the state accounts.
- We voted a Natural Enemy and Training War with the UK - we can only trust that the British will keep to their word as we managed no firm guarantees from them. But hey, we are still neutral and trustworthy, so, should something bad happen with them, we can always call in more friendly countries as in-game allies to preserve our sovereignty.
- ... and much more Wink

In short: our country is stronger than ever.

What will we work on next term?

- Lower income taxes, in order to further raise net salaries and purchasing power in Belgium.
- Further support for the BTA and BAF in the state budget.
- State loans for players wishing to upgrade their town center.
- Keep on discussing the ever-changing game rules and distill valid advice for all.
- Active neutrality while providing Belgian citizens good fighting opportunities.

Update: I pledge to donate the Congress fee (5 gold given by admins upon election) to the NBB-BNB, the Belgian National Bank account. Not because I don't need it, but because our country needs it.

Ask me your questions (E/D/F/N) here or by private message - i'll be happy to respond.

Vote in Flanders, vote ULA! Thanks for your support!

Ward De Bever

Update: while Flanders is occupied by a (friendly?) foreign power, my candidacy will be for Brussels. I'll go back to Flanders as soon as possible Smile

Thanks for your comments and support.

Update: the further support for the BAF seems to be realised, since the Army funding law and in-game import tax proposals (FRM, WRM, food and weapons) look like they will be accepted.

Update: Belgium is complete again - a successful NE/training war helped our citizens complete missions - worldwide we're 50th in number of citizens and 37th in number of residents - our currency is relatively strong, prices are moderate and wages are normal - Belgium is a good country to live in!
