No, he had it coming. He was warned and he was aware that 3 warnings is a one day ban.
I can't help it if he likes to collects warning...

If the country gets attacked, I'm blaming you for not allowing the Minister of Defense access to his own countries' forums.

You'd be better off blaming your MoD by being irresponsible and getting banned.Mikhail Alexander wrote:Pieter557 wrote:Mikhail Alexander wrote:NLSP wrote:that does it indeed.

Re: question to the admins
Well the ban was stupid. It was not even insulting for it was in a place where people think they can speak their mind. After the ban then NLSP said normal rules apply here etc.
Also if you look into the context of that thread, people are playing around in there and is not in a tone of insult or flaming. All I see is NLSP being stupid and abusing power.

You give out a warning for calling someone gay, that is pathetic. I've seen rather worse insults and you think someone calling someone gay evaluates to that.
I've seen people call people a retarded c**k-s***ker with no life, job or education.

why do admins suddenly feel the urge to act like whiny b*tches?
on the US forum (I'm mod there) we have 1 warning every months or so. The forum has a 100 times the amount of users eBE has
Ditto with eUK forums.

Yeah, but eBelgian forum atmosphere has been badly hurted recently. Being more strict might help to fix that.

This is one of two reasons why you weren't elected CP, the other having a communist who has killed many people and holds most of his population hostage, way it go.

Re: question to the admins
Fact: Fhaemita was not banned for one warning but 3 warnings. If you know you have one warning left before you got banned, you watch your words.
Even if I agree that the last warning was maybe a little bit overreacted, he got 2 warnings before and all of them got him banned.
That's what happen when you play with fire

Re: question to the admins
Fact is that NLSP is abusing power and is banning people who he does not like. It is fact that there was confusion of where the free speech forum is and he could of just said this is not it and then bans if he continues to mess around and not ban first and then said it is not the correct section.
This is entrapment and morally bankrupt action by one of the most partisan and bias mod in the eBE forum.

As said before, I agree the last warning was maybe overreacted. But it's a third warning, not just one.
Tomorrow Fhaemita will be back. Let us now talk constructively on a proper way to manage the admin group. I still think NLSP and Pieter are doing a great job but like us they are human and so pushed by emotional reactions. We aren't robots...

Sorry but what's me wonders that the only people that are complaining are the people with the most warnings????????
Don't you think by youre self why is that?
And that isnt the majority on this forum.

I'm on 12 erepublik forums, some of which I'm way more active than on this one, in not one of them have I had any warning points in the past 6 months.
that tells me that the problem lies with the tolerance level on this forum

I haven't had a warn in 6 months and suddenly I get 3 in 2 days?
More then just the last one was the admins overreacting.
I am sure if they can the possibility they will warn me again and ban me for a week.

Re: question to the admins
Well Fhaemita, things haven't been that bad in months for what I know.
Lots of members were in each other's face, the admin might have made
mistakes in the turmoil.
The point is no one is willing to let go of the anger and resentment... we won't go anywhere in this case.
Please, keep respecting each other and the fact that everyone tried to do what was fair. When things are cooler, it will be time to ask for apologies. But not now.

You knew you had to behave as you get 2 warnings already, and while you're a government member, who have to be an example for all of us. As said betaxtrot :
For me this story is over, and we should move on, accept our mistakes and learn from them, everyone.betafoxtrot wrote:I'm new to Belgium so I don't know who's to blame or not, but what I do know is that if threads like this wasn't made and if people didn't comment on the admins/admins didn't comment on the populace, then there'd be no probem. Why don't people put the same effort into making Belgium great as to calling the admins gay?

Good plan, admins do something wrong but lets just all forget what happend and let the admins do what they have been doing.

What did we do wrong? You wrote something we took as an insult ( that's your own fault tbh ). You got a 3th warning, we applied the rules and you got a banned for a day...
I saw NOONE complaining about Ward being banned, are you guys using two measurements here?
A reform won't help getting "objective" admins. I do my best to be objective but if people are targetting me this gets difficult to do. And you could at least try to refrain from kicking against our legs and challenging us. I doubt you'd like it if the roles were turned around... You'd probably end up doing the exact same thing.
Try to face and accept the consequences of your own actions instead of complaining about us.
Be happy there are no consequences for you avoiding your forumban.

Re: question to the admins
Imo this is what I propose
1) appeal board for warnings where warnings can be appealed and the one who received his warnings can defend himself
2) remove all admins and let the forum community have a fair and honest discussion about them and pick them
3) make it easier for the community to remove admins from power. That includes removing them as admin AND as mod
4) a more lax tone from the admins regarding their policy. Saying the word f***, gay,... ect should not be a reason for a warning. Explicit pornography, vulgarity... should.

Who will decide that? The admins? You'll just end up disagreeing with it... The first case wil be considered vulgar by someone and not vulgar by someone else. This is very subjective.
About nr 3, that can already be done by congress, 24h debate + 24h vote and the admin is gone...
Seems fair no?
About nr2, turn it into a popularity contest? How do you know someone can handle this? Not abuse it and most important, be unbiased and not afraid to give warnings to friends...
about nr1, ok, might be a good idea... but still, there's a lot of subjectivity in this and people with big mouths will probably try to get away with everything...

You need to go on gut instinct then just following rules every single time. Sometimes things aren't necessary to be changed or reported or banned but you do it because you enjoy the community changing differently under your command. I know, I've been in those steps and god it was fun but it wasn't practical and I resigned. The community healed and everything returned to normal.

so technically, if we launch a vote that says
"removal of all admins"
and we get a 50% majority, need admins need to be appointed. How will that happen?

I think that in the proposal, you should add someone that would be the admin by interim.
Moreover the details about his powers and the way the transition will be done should also be added.
