For those who don't know me (and that will be a lot), I am the MoFUN for March '12. Cooke4444 left me a high standard to continue at, so it is going to be hell for me

Enough intro about myself!

Formula 1 forum game

Formula 1... A racing sport. But not just a racing sport. It is the mother league of them all. Glory, glamour, glitter opposed to suffering in frying heats, high risks, top speeds and a lot of burden to carry for the team as well as for the drivers. Incredible high tech machines, powerful cars, driven by the racing Gods themselves. 24 Gods, divided in pairs over 12 teams who are willing to put everything to the limit, trying to get to the sweet victory, race after race after race... Up to 20 times, spread all over the world, just so they can call themselves the victorious World Champion at season-end. Not only for one of their drivers, but also for the team itself.
A sports of legends, new born Gods proving themselves, tragic accidents, heroes and even fallen heroes trying to regain what is left of their former status, trying to get on that pedestal again. Even if it is just one more time, only one more time to taste the sweet ambrosia - nectar of the Gods.

The wonderful F1 season of 2011 ended a little over 3 months ago now, with not much surprise as the world champion was an amazing Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull 'RB7'. Like an almost untouchable one he raced through the season without having any major problems - Let's hope that the F1 2012 season will be more exciting on that part. We also had our own Belgian driver since a long time; Jérôme D'Ambrosio. He will be test driving for Lotus F1 this season, with Kimi Räikönnen (Finland) as driver 1 and driver 2 being Romain Grosjean (France).

For chaps and gals who are not really familiar with F1... This is F1:

(Short movie (~2-3 min)) :: F1 2011 intro, to give you a quick idea (don't want to use my 2012 intro in here yet )


You will be able to create and manage your own team consisting of 2 drivers, a chassis for your cars and an engine for your cars
There will be prizes to win of course!

This will be a long game, as it will follow the actual season, so I know I cannot keep the budget completely reserved for this, but I am hoping to get money and others aside - though don't worry about that. This is going to be my main project . You will be getting prizes! at the end of each month (it might be possible more than 1 race occurs in a month)! Aside form being in the MoFUN, I was planning on doing this anyway.
The season 'world champion' will receive a glamorous price of course... as well as the second place and the third place. Still thinking about a consolation prize for the other participants seen this is a endurance game, under some restrictions of course (having played 60 % of the season, ...)

Somebody I know is organising the same thing on a different forum, so I am trying to liaise a bit with him.

well, I think the modern rules are nice too.

Take DRS for instance, it makes the F1 more exciting !
