new changes to the military module
What i learned so far:
divisions
players below level 25 (25 excl) belong to division 1 (called "national guards")
players between level 25 and 29 belong to division 2 (called "soldiers")
players between level 30 and 36 belong to division 3 (called "special forces")
players above level 37 belong to division 4 (called "tanks")
Campaign Points
in the past a campaign was ended when a country won 8 mini-battles.
right now a campaign is won when a country gets 83 "Points" (mind the capital P, because there will follow points with a small p too)
Now instead of 1 mini-battle, where all division fought together, the datas of the 4 division are separated.
So, there are 4 ongoing battles at the same time:
a mini-battle for division 1: the side that reaches 1800 points first, will get 1 Point
a mini-battle for division 2: the side that reaches 1800 points first, will get 2 Points
a mini-battle for division 3: the side that reaches 1800 points first, will get 3 Points
a mini-battle for division 4: the side that reaches 1800 points first, will get 5 Points
so in 1 mini-battle, a country can win up to 11 Points
It is possible that country A wins the mini battles in division 1 and 2, and loses the minibattle in division 3 and 4.
Not all minibattles will end at the same time, as for example the mini-battle for division 1 will be won with 1800 - 10, and the mini-battle for division 4 will be won with 1800-1700.
When this happens, division 1 won't be able to fight because the next mini-battle starts when the last minibattle of all 4 divisions has ended.
BH and CH:
There will be medals for all division, but the gold reward is different
national guards (division 1): BH is 2 gold
soldiers (division 2): BH is 3 gold
Special forces (division 3): BH is 4 gold
Tanks (division 4): BH is 5 gold
CH: only 1 medal for all the divisions together, just like before : 5 gold
fight
Furthermore, the fight button has been updated. You no longer have to click several times in order to kill an enemy. From now on, clicking it once you will make an instant kill. However, the wellness will still be consumed depending on how many hits you need in order to kill the enemy (same principle as before), and the damage, rank points and experience points will be given accordingly. If you have less health that needed to defeat an enemy, you will remain at 0 health, no extra health will be consumed by eating food or Energy bar ( like when working).

Re: new changes to the military module
results of these changes: campaigns will not be won by romper/scymex, but low level players will be much more important.
And even players with <100 strenght might get supplies on #mercenaries

No need to push 100000x the fight button, yeah \o/

The problem I see with this is that you are forced to use the same weapon for the entire kill. Sometimes it is nice to switch to a lesser weapon for the final hit so you save a hit of your better weapons.

Re: new changes to the military module
Also, on my last hit i only partially damaged the opponent, went to zero health, and didn't get the kill.
Anyway, what does this change mean?
more BH medals.... longer campaigns (can't start the next round until all rounds are finished) and a wide population base is just as important as having mega-fighters.
Makes the BYS and BYS2 programs even more important, to have better DIV1-3 fighters.
Also, the mercenaries channel is off, since folks may not have figured out how to monitor multiple battles at once, to see if supplies are used. Probably going to result in required screenshots.
Also, MPPs are of critical importance now, and not just "big" countries, since you want as many people fighting in as many divisions as possible, and a block of big hitters from a single MPP won't be as effective.

Re: new changes to the military module
Actually, shorter battles I think that it cannot last more than 1h30? Or did I got it wrong?

Re: new changes to the military module
one minibattle still last between 1h30 and 2h (wether it is won with 1800-0 or 1800-1790).
With one minibattle (4 divisions) a country can earn up to 11 points. to get 83 points you need at least 8 mini-battles.
When the other country gets points too, the campaign can last 15 mini-battles as maximum.
Nothing changed at this point.
EDIT: just realised that if you go for BH when you're only 100xp away from the next division, your damage will be divided over two divisions and your BH will be gone

This is a interesting way to change the war module. But I like it. I do agree it will take some time to get use to.

Re: new changes to the military module
We may need to rethink how we are supporting our citizens. Addy Lawrence is not one of my favorite players, but I think he makes a good point here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-mdp-the-relevance-of-xp-given-changes-to-military-module-day-1665--2057295/1/20#comments The more strength and rank you can gain while on those lower levels, the better.

That is what I was thinking too, GoopyPants.
We need to find other ways as well. If there are any.

My point actually was that we might need to rethink who is getting this help and why, not whether we should be giving help.

Re: new changes to the military module
Well I think we should be aiding all the lower levels that we possibly can but given the high attrition rate we still must have some prerequisites to prevent waste.
I love the PARAs but as only Goopy makes use of BYS2 (I'm STILL waiting for TG offer) maybe the bar is set too high and a balancing is needed if we cannot find more revenue.
With the update the top 12 are not the only militarily important citizens.

I still believe that everyone should get the BYS and BYS2 but we just need to find a way to either get more newer players to come to the forum and get it or anyway to increase their strength and rank.
