Might independent MUs rule the eWorld?
This article from eIreland discusses how the new changes in MUs might change the balance of power in the world. What do you think? And what does this mean for the way countries organize themselves, and for alliances?

I did, but it apparently didn't show in contrasting color to you. It does to me.

But... if all the money goes to the MU's instead of going to the countries, who the hell will be able to hire them?

It's still the countries that get taxmoney
Money = Power
Therefor the entire change may not happen that fast. However I'ld be very happy to become commander of an MU with lots of money in it for orders:
Step 1: Make the unit private
Step 2: Boot all members
Step 3: Set orders for MU only to move the money to your account
I wonder how many top 50 commanders will do that. ^^

Would surprise me, there are barely political tendencies to have in a game as narrow as eRep.
... On second thought, it would be perfectly possible. eReppers can be stupid enough to start a war just because one side wants 50% taxes and the other 10%

In some countries this already exist.
But it is more the opposite: one MU -> one party.
MU commanders manage supplies, that are most of the income of a normal player.

Why should he ?
We are all his multi accounts so he already holds the power in this country. No need for an already lazy man to do sth which he already has.
We are just lucky that he is so lazy, or he would have already taken over the country.

Or I already did it so lazily that nobody noticed.
