Re: Food market
Okay, maybe the writing style of my previous message sounded a bit sarcastic. Sorry for that. I just honestly wanted to tell you guys (with an explanation) how this game works after the last changes.
If I shouldn't sell on the market, just let me know, I can remove my offer if you all like. The point is: everybody can do this now, so if I remove my offer, someone else can and probably will put it up.
Seriously, if you guys want to discuss a minimum price, for example, that's fine with me... in fact, that might be a good idea if it's supported by many citizens who will not buy at lower than that price... But that's something we should discuss in Congress now that the situation is clear.
Anyway, don't shoot the messenger...

You can put up offers but not too low, so companies can at last try to survive and give people a job

Re: Food market
After thinking about this a while, at the moment I will not put up any offers anymore at all.
I'll just eat 150 of my own food (I should consider upgrading to avoid that much clicking ) to fight and improve my military skills. The other 30 food each day, I'll save in case eBE needs it in times of war.
HOWEVER, that doesn't solve the problem! We should still think about how to counter such cheap offers. One way would be to impose an import tax of 100% on all manufactured goods. Sure, foreigners can still sell their free food on our market and make a profit (it was free anyway), but at least the state will have maximum possible profit from it.

Re: Food market
I totally agree about the 100 % tax thing. The state should get all the profit there. At least the belgian manufacterers we can hope to control. At the moment I'm just running my compannies with a loss. Just because I don't want to put all new citizens without a job.

Re: Food market
... and we don't want to encourage that either. If I can't sell my free food here, I'll look abroad. Ofcourse, I'll buy the export license of the country that I can sell at the highest prices (taking taxes into account)...busorik wrote:After a second look. Let's avoid the situation where that is eBE
Re: Food market
I'm planning to reopen my food company temporary to buy grain from the market and to make sure there is food on the market when the war breaks out, because as we know from the past; when we are fighting for real, our food reserves can get pretty low, ofcourse I dont know how it will be now with all those empty food companies but anyway... I'll give it a try

Re: Food market
well I don't have any financial reserves left to pay for wages when I can't sell my food for a decent price.
So I have to wait some more time, before I will open my food company again for employees.
I am saving the food that I have for the moment in case there will be an emergency

Re: Food market
well I think that with the NE possibility some managers stock their food, and more food is been bought, what gives a raise in the prizes
I just opened my food company again for employees
