the hugh IRC debate

Hello fellow citizens of eBelgium,

as you could feel, there is a bad atmosphere in eBelgium. Politics isn't the politics of several months ago anymore. I got complaints of people that all these personal attacks must stop. People leave the country because of debates that always end in the same way. People attacking each other. That's why, I want to start a hugh IRC debate with several people to talk about everything.

There are ofc ppl that I want to see there:

-Ward De Bever
-Shadowukcs
-xironn
-Jofroi
-MonsieurGuillontine
-myself (Critically)
-Konrad Neumann
-Jamster737

all in #eBe_Debate the 24th August 2011 18h30 BE time (9h30 eRep. time).

I'll see if I can be there but I can't promise anything. Also I can imagine that ppl like Konrad and MG have better things to do in the morning than to come online to have this "obligatory" chat that won't change much. What do you hope to achieve? That ppl will fall in each others arms and start making cyberlove? What is special that can be said on a forum but not on IRC?

Like I said, I'll see if I can be there coz I don't want to be the whiny bitch to ruin things and because I appreciate the effort, but imo it's a waste of time.

will be practically impossible for me to be there. Im working thursday evenings.
Only available day for me would be wednesday if it should happen around that time of day.

why not make a little part in forum just for you.

the access for 8 persons... i don't see the problem and you can continue your debates.

I don't think a meeting with 8 people will work... because we all have different schedules.

I have no idea what the "Bas...." and the "D..." stand for.

Also, ppl shouldn't jump on their horse all the time because some one says a small insult.

i feel important that i am in the list but still you cant force anyone to go and the fact we are all in different time zones means it is impossible to chose a good time and i dont think i will be there as i am getting my GCSE results the day before so we are having a before results party (incase they are bad and we still wanna party )

I really do not see what is the point? This debate or forum thing will not fix anything at all. What will we discuss or debate? Tax laws? The constitution? The merger etc. Nothing will get done. In the end, we will not be hugging Ward or Jofroi etc. We will not sing Kumbaya at the end.
