This is a nice idea, but a bit late indeed. It is also late, unfortunately, for an article with interviews, as they are doing in eNL. We used to do that, and should get back to it, I think.

Worst case can just do a forum debate rather than IRC

Good ideea for the future, unfortunetly probably much to late for those elections...

Still, since all the good candidates seem to have posted in this thread, we might maybe ask some questions in here.

I'd be intersted to know if you (BrunoCND, Jonathan Clay, Goopypants) have already thought of governement, contacted people to see if they would be interested/help.

(Some of you have stated in ingame articles a bit about what this governement should look like, some have not)

First:
I'm personally interested in the "pro-alliance" platform GoopyPants was talking about. Do you have any idea on the direction you're looking to take and can you motivate this pro-alliance course a bit ?

For both other candidates, perhaps they could argument their pro neutrality some more.

As a second question for the presidential candidates:
What are your views on the organisation of our army and are you willing to help work out the national armed forces within the new Military Unit ?

Question is do new National Army want it?
From day 1 since I arrived I've been against politics interfering in Army business.
Army should be able to run the army on their own, we don't need to president to hold our hand.

Maybe Fhaemita but you need supplies, and supplies comes from the State.

@Johny my government is nearly right. Still need a MoFUN :p

@Nohjis I think it's too early to enter in an alliance because things are changing. Maybe i'll have another position in one or two months.
And for your second question, i'ld like a supply for our new army. And organized hits to do intelligent damages.

Funding comes from the state not supplies. Just because we receive funds doesn't mean congress or president should have a say in *everything* in the army. The army should be non political and run by them own. Yes there should be accountability ofcourse, but just like RL congress doesn't get involved in the running of the day to day business of the army

Agreed Fhaemita, no problem with that.

But don't forget that MoD can discuss with the Army Commander about how to fight in battles, in wich battles,...

Like RL.

Like RL.

ofcourse, CP is still CinC in the end and the army has to listen to CP and (d)MoD in the end.
But army should be given room to command the army.

1. about the BNA: Government shouldn't interfere with the day-to-day management of the MU. I'm willing to support anything to make the BNA an effective MU.

In exchange of funding I only expect:
1. BNA follows the orders of the CP when it concernes battles involving eBelgium
2. BNA gives a clear transparant report about the funding and the number of soldiers, possible damage,...

2. pro-Neutrality

Over the last period of time the neutrality stance has kept eBelgium relatively safe from longer periods of being wiped. I see no indications in the geo-political situation this will change in the future.
Both major alliances have shown to be not always trusthworthy and therefore I have no personal wish to join them.
If a new alliance comes to me with a clear program I"m always willing to listen and if a majority of the eBelgians wishes to join an alliance I will follow their wish.

1. Goes without thinking, everybody loves our country and we are our national army.
2. That is the plan, we want to be completely transparent in everything.

turning the tables right now but I have a question.

Is the BNA considering renting itself out when there are no conflicts in eBelgium?

So to our neutral candidates; how will you make this neutrality happen ? We currently have about 20 pro ONE MPPs. How much MPPs do you see us having at the end of your term and how would it be balanced ?

What role would the MoD give to our armed forces in order to maintain this neutrality (independant course) ? I can understand the army wishing to organize itself for day to day work such as supplies and priority list. I hope the army command would realize their impact on international relations if they operate as an organized unit.

At the end of the terms, i would like to have 4 ONE and 4 EDEN/TERRA MPP's and MPP's with neutral country, like Czech Republic, Venezuela, Mexico.

I would also like to make priority on helping these neutral countries by DO and IRC Civilian Raid because they helped us a lot during our war against the Dutch.

Yes What Bruno said: both van Spijck and Mattio have indicated they want peace and if elected I will try to sign a formal peace.

@Nohjis With our raised income I'm not going to go back to the 2-2 MPP's but a few more but as balanced as possible.

I made debates in my former country. I can do it in this too, but I think that there are not enough people to know about it Sad On that debates came about 90-120 people. I will think about it next elections Smile
