Poland want W-netherlands. It's the only oil region. And since the region is worthless unless they have a connection to it, they need S-Netherlands as well.

Not really sure if Poland is going to grand the dutch the same rights as they had before. Maybe after this little revolt, they will wipe all there regions off the map.

And it will take some time before poland comes back at full strenght. Why not rent the region for a short term?A week or so, just to test it?

no, we had different plan to take over eNL completely. I had talks with the dutch about it, but their government refused on the last minute.

Not going to say much more about it, just know that it's been discussed between the mofa's and CP's of both our countries and that it's been rejected.

Poland can as well have access to Oil through East or North NL, Poland doesn't need South NL.

Hardly, when you can't understand basic game mechanics. If it was your way, Poland wouldn't need to border itself to get the oil but just take it and let either North, West and South be the Netherlands, as usual but Admins changed that, like months ago. Keep up with the damn times, Ward.

What we are saying is, that it isn't certain that if the Poles return, they may not allow the Dutch to have 2 regions like before. So a connection with the oil region can be made with the other Dutch regions.

I guess not everyone can be good at erep battle analysis.

If you check the map
http://www.erepublik.com/en/map/Netherlands

you will see that eNL has 4 regions:
-S-NL: cow region
-E-NL: Cow region
-W-NL: oil region
-N-NL: fish region

The polish are interested in W-NL. But they only get the oil bonus if there is a bridge between W-NL and their capital. There are 3 ways of getting that bridge:

-Trough N-NL, but then they'd only get a 20% FRM bonus (as they would have 2 cow regions left)
-Trough E-NL, but then they'd also only get 20% FRM bonus as N-NL would not have a connection with S-NL (their capital)
-Trough S-NL, which would give them a 40% FRM bonus coz they would have cows and fish.

The polish had a "take-it-or-leave-it" agreement that the dutch could chose which region they give as a bridge. The only logical choice they have is to give S-NL.

If the Poles come back, they could be less generous. Only allowing the Dutch to have 1 region, or even not region at all. In that case the Dutch could use the extra gold and rent out the region before the Polish arrive.

Nobody is claiming that if the situation return like before we can rent southern nl. So your "*sigh* ladida" post is really uncalled for.

The poles won't probably grant the same deal back, but they won't put much effort in the RW's of N and W Poland either (which the Dutch will probably RW first if they are smart)

A "rent" HAS been discussed, a proposal to help the Dutch HAS been discussed, us taking over Dutch regions HAS been discussed.

They rejected it, nothing we can do now unless invade them the aggressive way. I already talked about this with the dutch days ago.
