Races have depended on the machines for as long as I can remember. Skill is needed to make the machines this performant too. :p Driver skill is just one of the details that make F1 what it is.

There are many exceptional drivers in F1 at the moment and that makes it even more fun to watch as they'll push those machines over the limit but in the end, unless you put Schumacher, Alonso, Hamilton, Button, Vettel and Raikonen in the same car and with a mechanics team of the same competence behind them, you will never know who's the better driver (even if we all know it's really Fernando Alonso).

- more money = better development of car = higher ranking, despite the difference in experience or talent between the paydriver and the experienced driver with a low budget.

Alonso is very talented. You cannot deny that.

You're all right. Ferrari has a terrible car, but in Malaysia it has proven itself to be a good car in rain, and thanks to Alonso, it turned into a win.

But I think that Drivers has some influence in all those things too. Raikkonen (-Grosjean) could turn a Lotus (I mean, LOTUS ??) into a nice result car. Perez in a Sauber-Ferrari car ...

but ofc, it's still the early stage of the season, and a lot of development need to follow!!

(and I DO hope, Perez will join Ferrari next season :p )

haha, I really laughed very hard with Shumacher and his wheel. However I found it pity for Raikonnen that it's because of the strategy that he was off a podium - or at least a top 10 - place.

Yes, I saw the qualifying and race at a friend's place. That error with Schumacher's wheel happened to McLaren last season as well.

Can't really remember what Bahrain was like. Hopefully no incidents will occur. Read today that two mechanics from Force India went home already, due to security issues. On the way to the hotel they witnessed a petrol-bomb attack (not on them I think, but that doesn't make it ok) and they are concerned about security.

And indeed it was a nice race for Lotus, and a very bad race for McClaren .... Average job of Alonso and Massa, they did anything possible with the car they've now. Still Raikkonen deserved to win this rase and not Vettel, but okay, I can't be objective :p
